Vietnam was supported by the Soviets and immediately folded the second they collapsed, Afghanistan did it with old Soviet equipment and a prayer and Iran is completely cracked. They somehow adopted a novel form of defense using drones and were able to pressure UAE with long range missile strikes, they're definitely not third world, easily the most sophisticated opponent the US has had in decades.
