How come the so called richest and most powerful country in the world keeps losing to third-world shitholes?

They all rigged it

Only true for Vietnam and Belgium.
Iran's top military echelon was wiped out in a week. They absolutely mopped the floor with the mullahs beards. The only reason they withdrew (for the time being) was because of pressure from nearby arapsissy states who couldn't handle the heat. As for Afghanistan, it will always be a backwards inhospitable permashithole

Afghanistan and Iran were by far more humiliating losses than Vietnam. Vietnam was supported by the Soviets and immediately folded the second they collapsed, Afghanistan did it with old Soviet equipment and a prayer and Iran is completely cracked. They somehow adopted a novel form of defense using drones and were able to pressure UAE with long range missile strikes, they're definitely not third world, easily the most sophisticated opponent the US has had in decades.
>>
>>222913687
TRUKE. Afghanistan was just a bunch of savage monkeys in the mountains. Literally nothing happened besides America pulling out. Iraq got mogged hard. Iran hasn’t been stepped on yet, but some people still count it as an American loss. The Viets had a real army with a proper chain of command for strategic operations, not just some Middle Eastern bums.

they lost the trade war as well kek
>>
>>222913950
There is no trade war if the petrodollar exists. The US can't depreciate its currency, idk why people keep thinking that the US is competing for exports or has trouble with restricting them when Canada and Mexico are the main trading partners. The US market is ludicrously easy to protect.

And then they use the surrender meme against us when we had a real war against germanoids three fucking times.

The real answer is they became soft. Us avoided the ww2 era meat grinding after the korean war. If you look at their modern casualty majority of them are friendly fire. If their public saw a 6' marine getting blown by a drone there would be riots in the street. They simply don't have the will for necessary sacrifice for better or worse.
>>
>>222916771
Thats why their entire doctrine has been built upon using airpower to win wars.
Which simply doesnt work against countries willing to accept civilian casualties and infrastucture destructrion and disruptions to the civilian economy and services.

i doubt victory condition was to kill some old geezers

>>222911506
When America wins, they win extremely hard. Desert Storm was pretty cool.
Tactically they are number one.
Strategically they keep fucking up.

War isnt won on kda

>>222916822
The civil war was the only war where Americans came close to experiencing substantial war casualties as typically experienced by most countries in symmetric wars, and even then, it was mainly the south that faced the brunt of it. The north mainly continued relatively unaffected by the war.
I would say that Americans would get traumatized the moment war casualties started getting real, but people are quick to adapt to changing circumstances once a unthinkable scenario starts becoming more common place and normalized. Either way, Americans are 'soft' because for the longest time they have been able to assert their hegemony and geostrategic goals with relative complacency, having lived in a literal bubble for the entire duration of the nation's lifespan without experiencing the toils of war.
>>
>>222917232
Yeah i think having horrible war losses gets ingrained in a countries mentality and america never had that
>>

>Literally nothing happened besides America pulling out
That's literally also vietnam and it's worse because you even get orange'd
