for the professional world, i simply both looked for a field that a high demand/low workforce while maintening strong ties with fellow diasporas during all of my schooling. it was as simple as that. i'm a PLC technician. it was a senior diaspora student who found me my internship. i job hopped and now have a junior diaspora student from the same group chat as an intern working with me. we also share job opportunities and status updates among other things in this group chat (a lot of different careers in it).
i exclusively socialized with diasporas and dated either diaspora women or women i met via diaspora (friends of friends sisters, work colleagues of a friend looking for someone, etc) or family (a cousin's coworker, etc...)
none of that is "humble bragging" because none of that is excellent or above the norm in any significant way, unless your norm is some mud dweller
you win by simply not engaging in fields that can cause you issues, such as trying to get into a field that's competitive without a network or trying to get people you have no ancestry/culture in common to mingle with you.
