>you'll own nothing and you'll be happy
Yeah that doesn't work. But it's better to own nothing and be sad than to desperately cling on to owning something and be miserable because of it.

I have 77k, almost there :(

I have 70k net worth euros at 28. I want to retire as soon as possible, before 40 would be amazing. I invest a lot into MSCI world or the S&P 500. I simply need 700-800k before retiring. Once I have that all I need is a return rate of 5% to have enough to just live and do nothing in the middle of nowhere where life is super cheap anyways.
>>
>>222922523
I have and I'm still poor
You stop being poor at 10million plus

You know an economy is truly diverse and robust when you have the opportunity be a coal miner or a landman and in the same country the opportunity to work for a global tech giant. We all envy you.

Is that enough money to pay two hookers to fight to the death in a knife fight?

sell the house and see how much you are left with.
>150k loan on apartment, fully financed
>lived there for some years, modernizing everything
>sold it for 270k
used money to buy a house, start my own business, stock up on tools and a van + some work on the house. my net worth that i materialized in profit once i sold the apartment was 270k minus 150k debt. so i had 120k to play with. 50k for house, 10k for work on it, 20k to get my business running, 40k on me because fuck it i deserve it after 20 years wageslaving and im still better off than i ever been. being debt free is the cure of everything. anyone who thinks debt = worth is retarded. instead of chasing even higher incomes try to focus on reducing your spendings. be honest, what do you need? what do you desire? if its sportscars and escorts then its the rar race for you, i didnt i wanted a boat, a trailer to tow that boat on that could also be used for hauling trash, for work or hauling a snowmobile, i wanted a snowmobile but a comfy and powerfull one, a quality welder, quality gardening tools, for once in my life actually buy a brand new modern tv... none of these except the tv is money thrown out the window and i managed all that with the 40k i left for myself with some other furniture and stuff as well. this is objects i will have for 20years+++ and there is no debt or monthly payments on any of them. not even my 3 cars but i didnt include them i got them before this.
