Would you rather live in Texas or France? I think I'd pick Texas, more freedom and more future economically speaking. France seems to have a much more pleasant weather and nature though.

If you want a serious answer, if you have the ability to both USA wins hands down. The pay is so much higher, tax is lower and most stuff (in particular, houses) is cheaper.All that stuff mentions sounds good but it just doesn't come close to earning 2-3x as much. If you are below average France is probably better.
