Why is it that besides Americans, people from first world countries are humble about their country whereas people from developing countries that are escaping poverty like Poland and South Korea love to flaunt how successful they are

Every American I know, be they a MAGA retard or Mamdani socialist literally does nothing but shit on America

MAGA is anti-American because they hate every institution, every politician, every bit of our culture, our media. Americans hate America and always shit on it. It's annoying as shit. Nothing more schizophrenic than some MAGA freak appropriating American symbols but then saying everybody with any power is a satanic demonic globalist who wants everybody to suffer for no reason

Populists are a cancer.

This. The thing is a Norwegian non-populist will gladly acknowledge the privilege of living in Norway but be able to recognize it can always be improved, thus he's never tiring of pointing out areas that need to be fixed.

An American MAGA simultaneously thinks we are run by literal demon people and everything in the country is rotten to the core but god-forbid a Dutch boy says "Maybe have more trains"

One society is improving and excited for the future, the other is old, dying and grumpy. Brits were all rule Britannia until 10 years ago

This pretty much

they are, maybe not literally. people with a conscience are a threat to the continuity of power and are generally kept out of it.

Yep that's exactly what I mean. It's one thing to have a defensive or emotional reaction and blurt out something without thinking. But to sit down and write something like a comment without every stopping to question or consider why you believe those things, whether you have good evidence or counter-examples is pretty sad.

his point was more that people will criticize their own country to high heaven, but when someone else does it they drape themselves in the flag and swear up and down that they live in the greatest country on Earth.

I don't mind the constant criticism, what I do mind is this bizarre delusion when you interact with people from almost any other country and even some left leaning Americans who have this idea that people in the US are still Reaganite Cold War patriots or John Wayne clones. It's like stereotypes for the US flash froze in the 50s and 80s. More people were watching South Park than anything else growing up and that's a show dedicated to shitting on the US, punk was also popular especially the skate-punk fuck the system type, and comedy was wildly popular but it in the 2000s it was mostly just cynical snark about how corrupt billionaire white people are. And when you went online, especially after 9/11 all you'd get were conspiracy videos the further you went 'right wing' like actual schizophrenic Freemason deep cut frame by frame breakdowns of Hollywood movies and their subliminal programming by slipping in these esoteric symbols. How the hell is the US so supposedly popular when people memoryholed the last two decades before 2016? Makes no sense.

>have more trains
Literally the biggest train network in the entire world. If you think adding trains will somehow make the US' geopolitics somehow more sustainable or make every state in the US start magically cooperating with each other you've lost it. Getting Texas and Cali to cooperate on anything is harder than getting France and England to like each other.

>developing countries

Evryone knows they aren't developing, they have been "developing" for like 200 years by now.

counterargument: japan

>>223127318
Based and true, I only hope the best for Poland, keep showing us your development don't mind the haters
>>
>>223127176
People are demoralized in most of the developes world. High taxes, stagnant wages, replacement migration etc
