There weren't many large pitched battles in the Mexican independence war/revolution. The former was mostly peasants unironically armed with bows and spears getting slaughtered by criollos in one sided massacres until they got bored and decided to switch sides. The latter was mostly peasants starving to death after their village got burned for the fifth time in four years.
