Why does their pop music sound so sad? Especially the old schlagers.
>>223229872this is a very niche topic
>>223229872Even Finnish christmas songs are sad and melancolichhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-hs_L3AYXk
>>223229872I dont think that our pop music sound that sad, at least most of them dont. Sure old schlagers has that style common, but i guess it was just popular style for it here
Natural occurrence when you live in a place that doesn't get a lot of sun
>>223229872Their language is honestly sounds too goofy to be sad. It just ended up sounding like a pouting toddler.

>>223229872I've only listened to HIM and the Rasmus.
>>223229872Because there's a deep melancholy in Finnish culture. It's what happens when your people are the victims of genocides and constant discrimination. Almost the entire Finnish culture and way of life was wiped out and replaced with empty sandnigger worship. What was left was sadness and alcoholism. Basically the same thing that happened to the natives in America. Even when you manage to create some new culture afterwards the melancholy stays in its core.
