What’s the point of seperating the baby from the mother right after birth anyways? I get it if there’s an emergency procedure that has to be done but it seems like a bunch of countries just do that automatically. We don’t do that in sneeden

then what would you do?
i'm not even sure what would be the good way to tell them appart, do a dna test?

i always assumed it's because they want to look at the babies for a few hours just to see if anything changes, like if the baby starts breathing poorly or coughing or something they can be treated
