Mother is bipolar or borderline or something and was ruining my father's mental until he just couldn't take it anymore and left (her, not me, we kept in contact). Then as she no longer had a target she randomly switched to me. It fucked me up real good, started when I was 10. I was a very social and empathetic kid with decent grades and then just turned into an empty husk. I was lucky enough to find other damaged kids like me who became lifelong friends. Crazy how we just gravitated to each other and then found out later we all had mentally ill parents.
