I guess that's why EFLs say French is so difficult.

But to be fair, I also met some bongs who were incredibly nice and polite people. The middle ground is rather contested, but the first group gives them the rep.French tourists here in example are going to be almost axiomatically mean and unpleasant, but they come in lesser numbers and don't drink as much. Pierre is going to be an asshole, but he usually won't take a drunk piss behind your parked car is what I mean.American tourists are relatively rare compared to other groups, but in general I did not find them particulary annoying. They felt just normal, except younger whites tend to be defensive, as if we were going to be pissed at them for something or another. I would assume it is part of some academia induced guilt trip.
