The substrate under arabisation is completely different hence why they are not grouped in with the MaghrebEgyptians are also much closer to the middle east and arabia so the arabisation linguistically is basically total and their vernacular language Masri can be fit into the continuum of arabic-derived vernaculars of the middle east (Mashriqi). This can be seen in Classical Islamic/Arabic geography where Egypt is included in the Mashriq/East whereas Nafris are from the Maghreb. You must remember the core of Morocco -> Algeria -> Tunisia comprises of very habitable/arable atlantic-mediterranean mountains plains coast which is separated by the massive sparse gulf of the Libyan desertComparing Egypt to Algeria/Tunisia/Morocco arabisation is also very different.
