tell me about the Romanians, do they feel more slavic or latin?
>>223420899african
>>223421176don’t seem possible.
>>223420899They feel Romance.
>>223420899Us being slavs is a muscal cope. They tried to brainwash us by changing our history language and art but failed. I have nothing in common with the average ruski
>>223423815You artificially changed your language, art, and culture in the 19th and 20th century to be more Latin and less Slavic. Half your words are like French loan words from the 1800's. You're just self hating Slavs, authentic Romanian culture is slavic.
>>223423815Rapes per capita tell another story
>>223423918Wanna compare countries? >>223423865Grammar and etymology say otherwise. You can't do a 180 on a language like you claim. Languages do change over time yes but the essence is still there and we have absolutely no Slavic essence
>>223420899Latin
>>223424269https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Re-latinization_of_Romanian
>>223424455>the term's lack of precision is susceptible to lead to confusion as the Latin character of the Romanian language had already been noticed since at least the 15th century. You niggers don't even bother reading.Actually can you read? Name 10 letters
>>223424499It's a Latin language in its roots but it's speakers are mostly of Slavic descent and culture. This would have been even more obvious before you decided to start larping as Romans and "re-latinize" yourselves and change your language to be unnaturally Latin. Romanian culture and language is collectively like 70%-80% slavic. Hungarians and German Saxons are more influential on Romanian culture than the Latins.
>>223424269>>223424612"Slav culture" doesn't even exist. I don't mean that in the edgy way as in Slavs are bad, I mean there's no unified entity of this kind.Orthodox Balkan Slavs got their culture from Byzantium.West Slavs have similar culture to the Catholic West. Slavs always tend to be similar to non-Slavs in their vicinity, not to other Slavs more far away. "Slav culture" is basically just European culture.
>>223424359I consider you my latin brothers too.
>>223425084There are certain things that are basically universal among Slavs, style of clothing, music, societal structure, folk stories etc. just because they get influenced by the cultures around them doesn't mean there aren't unifying aspects of culture between different Slavs. "White voice" for example is a special Slavic kind of singing which is also used by moldovans and some romanians. You're also almost completely surrounded by Slavs so still by this logic you got your culture from them.
>>223420899Romanians are easily impressionable, very mixed and our cultural input is minimal. we always suck off the West and try to import everything from there to the point a great writer noticed this phenomenon and called it 'shapes without a background'. most Romanians are ignorant, know shit about their neighbours and will try to pretend everything we got was from romans or dacians which is very little compared to slavic influence here. the last stage of communism and isolationism made a cultural rupture between us and our neighbours too.>>223424455our core vocabulary is the same, but a lot of words changed indeed despite other illiterate anons try to pretend itt. they never read Miron Costin, Grigore Neculce or any other pre-19th century writer and will have a hard time understanding their books. for your nowadays Geani Popescu the main idea may be understandable usually but he wouldn't be able to grasp the details.relatinisation was so shitty that we ended up by having two words for the same notion (ud - umed, femeiesc - feminin, etc.) or, worse, having two words coming from the same latin root but the second being imported (old romanian 'a înțelege' vs french-imported 'intelligent' both coming from the latin root 'intelligo-').only Romanians could be this ignorant and retarded but here we are with a botched language proned to creolisation because of a deep inferiority complex of our ellites.so, to answer OP's question, the mainstream idea is that we are closer to Latins (which is true from a linguistic point of view) but culturally speaking neighbouring slavs are almost identical. mind you: not all slavs resemble our culture but only the neighbouring ones.
>>223425579>most Romanians are ignorant, know shit about their neighbours and will try to pretend everything we got was from romans or dacians which is very little compared to slavic influence here.so you feel kinship with the slavic people? I don’t quite understand your point.
>>223425709>>223425579ah fuck I didn’t read the entire post, it’s clear now.
>>223420899I particularly feel like a bozgor.
>>223425860bazat! bazat! bazat!
any good book I can read by Romanian authors? I read pic rel and its endearing, however it was kind of a mess. I could relate with the protagonist at times. anything else that’s good? I’ll read anything even poetry or theater and shit like that.
>>223420899Im so tired of this topic
>>223425525By your logic you're a chingatanga
>>223425579You're only correct in the sense that Romanians in general are very ignorant about history and language, but most of those are definitely not pro-Latin.>the mainstream idea is that we are closer to LatinsProbably, but barely, I have seen plenty of insane Romanian slavophiles and Dacianfags. The later especially have huge influence among the masses.>but culturally speaking neighbouring slavs are almost identical. Yes, but Slavs are very different from each other. Bulgarians and Czechs are as diiferent as Spanish and Germans, excluding language >(old romanian 'a înțelege' vs french-imported 'intelligent' both coming from the latin root 'intelligo-').In this case one is a noun and one is a verb. "înțelegător" the native noun you get from 'a înțelege', has a slightly different meaning, so maybe importing 'intelligent' isn't necessarily bad. Also 'intelligent' exist in many languages as a international loanword. Many French loanwords would have entered Romanian anyway even without any "latinization" conspiracy theory.
