Why do Indians talk like this? I don't know of anyone else who totally switches languages repeatedly mid-sentence. What are the rules?
It's kinda weird when it's long stretches like that. If it was creole it seems it'd be more evenly distributed.
wha is he saying
>>223441762It is a creole, it's just one born from an educated class rather than peasants. The average rural Indian would never talk like this, only high castes who speak English fluently speak like this.Poo is poo, thoever.
I thought only Filipinos did that
just abandon hindu at this point wtf is this shit
>>223441996I think because we both have significant billingual english speaking populations, so we end up switching between languages like this in conversation as it doesn't hinder understanding
>>223441722A lot of bilingual people do this. The fennoswedes in Finland talk like this
>>223441722Why are they so dramatic
>>223441722Welsh-speakers do this
>>223442205Why would superior Fennoswedes stoop so low as to speak finngolian SAAR?
>>223441722They don't know enough english or hindi to form complete sentences in either.
>>223442453I'd understand if it was just vocabulary, but what really throws me off is switching grammar structure mid-sentence
