Okay, but on a lengthier noteIt isn't just lack of soft power, it's the fact that most posters from my country are complete assholes. It also doesn't help that /int/ culture heavily encourages banter. If you disagree with someone on here, it's not enough to say "I don't agree", you always have to one up the next guy on a more creative, more racist response. Indians have probably been part of this practice on /int/ for ages but never learned to stop. My theory is that when Indians first started getting a lot of hate, it increased the amount of banter that Indians made about others on /int/ proportionally. This becomes a terrible feedback loop, and people's sympathy quickly starts drying up as they remember the previous indianon who was an ass to them. Some anons will lie and say it's because of their stances on immigration, but in the end, they just want to blow off some steam with banter on Mongolian basket weaving forums. It seriously isn't that deep
They haven't managed to build the image of Indian culture and society being cool to the West, like for example Koreans have been able to.Some Indians believe they can build the image of a sort of "lovable goof" with the silly dancing but that's not going to work.
