things will always go back to normal in this shit democracy system. 4 years is too little for anything of note to happen for the nation but more than enough for politicians to fill their pockets

He's doing alright. There are some signs for hopium in that the technocrats he appointed for the ministry of economy and the central banks are very pragmatic and not ideological fanatics, willing to adapt their plans when needed. In fact it was recently found out that one of the biggest economic fuck ups of last year was caused by Milei directly against the advice of the minister of economy (tldr paying a whole bunch of debt with local banks at once instead of doing a rollover, which ended with over liquidity translated to prices, increasing inflation once again).
Currently by far the biggest issue is the job market. The economy is growing but the growth is extremely varied by sector, some like farming, mining, petrol, fishing and banking are booming, while textiles and retail are stagnating. The issue is that the sectors which are going low employ far more people than the ones which are growing, so unemployment is rising. This is probably related to how overvalued the peso is, with our current real exchange rate being extremely expensive. You heard that right, the peso being worthless is old news, now our issue is that the peso is worth too much and thus importing stuff is cheaper than hiring Argentines to make it.
The solution is to devalue the peso to gain competitiveness. Milei has spoken against this for ideological reasons but there are clues that the technocrats in his government have already decided for it and will implement a soft, gradual devaluation. They have already been pushing for this by lowering the interest rate (positive effect for economic growth) and buying up hundreds of millions of USD for the central bank (more reserves improves our credit rating, thus lowering interest payments).
We'll see if these measures work to reactivate the job market. If unemployment starts trending down in 2027 then gg Milei has got the reelection in the bag.

Grim.
I have never visited Brazil but I find Buenos Aires an extremely grim and depressing city. Half of it is crumbling away, the other half if filled with boomers on the edge of dementia. Public transport smells like shit. Restaurants keep lowering the quality of their food more and more each year. Trash piles up, you can't walk a single city block without having to dodge dog turds.
It's grim.

Next time you come to Buenos Aires visit Belgrano and Nuñez, it's far nicer than Recoleta and doesn't reek of piss.
