Do you miss the emo scene
>>223456602>emo scene>imc
no
I was too young to fully embrace it back then, but I would have. So much sovl. These fuckers today are POSERSSS.
>vgh ostrogothic emos
>>223456602Yes, by around 5 years at least because I am a zoomer (born in '98)It's kinda cringy, though
>>223456602no i miss witch house tho
Best bread on the board but anons would rather engage the 100th bbc and india threads made today.
>>223456675emos are (were) essentially posers
I was there for it at the exact right age, I didn't care for it then, I don't care for it now
>>223457525Nah man, it was sovl. Possibly the last "movement" or "style" of its kind. Something that had seeped out of the 20th century, just at the tail end of things.>>223457547Oh to be an american emo discussing the new twilight movie in hot topic with my emo frens.
You can't say "emo imc" if your country had no screamo/scene band before 2009https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vd5HSWsUFHchttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h3Grxje6t_Qboth 2003-2004
Emo vs goth vs scene girlfren iyc?
>>223456602millenials were always cringe and they know it, that said I would still fuck emo girls
>>223456602Here is your emo scene anon
>>223456602Bring back the bottom haircut it grows diamonds in my pants.
>>223456602absolutely not, always thought it looked stupid as fuck
>>223460127Millenials were sovl in their teens. They only became cringe when they grew up.
>>223456602I prefer the bottom panel thoughbeit
>>223456602Midwest emo and math rock bands? Yes. Scene and metalcore? No. https://youtu.be/cNPacj2jIqA?si=78hCjFA-CvR8rg_mThe fact this was 2014 gave me hope that it would come back after scene died, but nope scene just came back as gamer/egirl culture.
>>223460652POSEEEEER SHIIIIT, DELETE THIIIIS
>>223460692Midwest emo was before the pop culture variant. I miss when it was just garage bands and t-shirts.
>>223460780I liked the early to late 2000s era the most. Well, that goes for modern western culture in general. You might appreciate a few videos you'd find by searching "Corey Pattakos" on YouTube.
Emo is a pointless genre since the first album recorded in this genre was also thr best.
>>223460206You simply started having contact with a selected group of millennial influencers at some point, the rest had to disappear from the internet or went low profile and get on with their lives. When I sometimes see this forced generational war, the examples are always some cringelords who were either already considered shitty in their generation or had to change completely to keep posting shit on the internet
>>223461668So… you’re agreeing with me?
This board is 90-95% Zoomer at this point I doubt people remember it. But I do. I liked scene girls but I can't really say I miss emo much. From the perspective of it being an actual subculture I guess I miss it. Zoomers are too terrified of being "cringe" that they are all the same and just incredibly boring
>>223456602No, emos were racist af.
>>223456602i remember everyone hating emos back then
>>223461793>>223461793No, because you said Millenials (like in general). Influencers are a small minority. Now that on Zoomers are the most profitable consumers online, it's safe to say that this small group of millennials is a byproduct of what big corporations are pushing and what Zoomers want to watch and engage with. I'm not a Zoomer hater, but I miss the culture of rebellion in this generation. Everything is done for internet reach and with financial success in mind, they don't question authority, and they act hysterically online. Young retirees
*when Zoomers are the most profitable consumers of online content Also, I blame phones and the Internet availability
>>223461861Hai… true that.>>223462264Dude, I said millenials turned cringe when they reached their thirties and started going hipster burger thump clap mode. They were kino when they were younger.
>>223462387Ah. Then idk what you're talking about, sorry
>>223456602It was quite nice back then, everyone had a bit of a style of their own you didn't need to wear designer clothes you just mixed stuff till you got something that you liked and fit you. Now everyone looks the same on the net, same broccoli hair, same clothes, same shit.
