>DUDE JUST SEVER THE TIES BINDING YOU TO THE COUNTRY OF YOUR ANCESTORS WHO SHARE THE SAME RELIGION AND POLITICAL SYSTEM WITH YOU OVER SOME PETTY GRIEVANCEwhy do American "conservatives" worship this guy exactly? he was the original globohomo
>>223460805I'd totally do the same thing, fuck pompous inbred monarcucks and fuck their tea
>>223460805let gobegin again
>>223460805American conservatives hardly like Britain these days. They also don't know much about Jefferson or any other founder outside of Trump AI images with Washington
Jefferson was closer to France than Britain. The real conservative was Hamilton.
>>223460805American conservatives worship the founding fathers in the abstract, having only a vague idea way they actually stood for. Ditto the bible.
>>223460805 Anyone who opposes the inbreds is good in my book.
>>223461256>tfThey were your inbreds
>>223460805>conservativesDo they? Jefferson had, what I think many would describe, as an extreme Libertarian streak that wouldn't sit well with Conservatives or Liberals.
>>223461601Most MAGAtards worship him because they believe he would be on their side.Anyway I don't think it's useful to try to imagine what a politician from the 18th century would think of today's world. His views were eclectic enough that he doesn't fit with either of the poles of the modern political divide. He had left-wing elements in him (commitment to democracy, belief in the essential goodness of humans, desire to overturn oppressive institutions, science-worship) and right-wing (literally owned slaves and believed blacks were inferior to whites, believed in states rights)
>>223460805>SAME RELIGION AND POLITICAL SYSTEMAmerican's didn't share a religion with england, this is famously why many of the religious seperatists on ships like the mayflower came to the new world and a prime reason that people migrated for years, euros love to shit on americans' for not knowing history but they have an equally piss poor understanding of it beyond the surface level of "thing happened on date"
>>223460805
>>223460805idgiwhy did poles do it then
>>223460805>>223462074You are assuming that politicial positions must be about your instance on keeping or changing things instead of believing in a systems of ideas. I don't think American conservatives must always be in favor of conserving social institutions in all cases. They want to conserve present American institutions that were created by revolutionary liberalism. So it isn't reasonable to expect they should have a favorable view of other forms of status quo other than their own just because they call themselves conservatives
Should have let us have a handful of token MPs. Simple as.
