I was gonna make a thread about this the other day. People that identify with their rapist ancestors always have better countries. Look at Mexico. They are perpetual rape victims. Even if they are 80% Spaniard they’ll still go on about how they are devout servants of Culculcan and will get revenge for the “colonizers” blowing a second hole in their asses.

>>223748776my ancestry was basically neutral or raped but not too much, we were peasants but from one of the more wealthy villages and we got absorbed into the city of Kraków and became citizens, we were also in the least oppresive partition which is austrian and the only real lasting grievence we have is my grandma's grandpa was forced to enlist and died fighting Poles from the other partitions so it was enslaved Poles killing other enslaved Poles which is shitty. He also died very young, he was less than 30. But on the good note, they wrote a book about our village and it's a good one and very popular in Poland. It's called Chłopi, it was recently adopted and it was a really really good adaptation. They got snubbed by our corrupt film institutions for an oscar nomination though (while we avoided post-soviet corruption on a national level our film industry basically works like Ukraine)
