Egyptian tourism is 100% people going "Woah I can go see the pyramids and pharaohs and Cleopatra and shit" without wondering whether the people who live there have been subsumed into an Arab culture with its subhuman habits or not until they get there and the men are trying to rape every woman and scam every man (or the local repressed homo population doing vice versa)Morocco doesn't have the ancient history but it has a longer history of westerners going there for tourism back to the early 20th century and I think people remember that and then assume that means that it's safe.
