I think I should replace Italian with Spanish. I've recently found a few cool bands, reading Don Quijote right now, which is a cool novel (easly in my top 10) and there are more and more Latin American immigrants in Poland (didn't saw any hot Latinas though, probably because the government hates me), population is younger, and Spanish and Italian languages are similar, so the transition from one to the other shouldn't be painful. The Italian internet is also smaller, and moving to Italy or Spain would be a loss for me, but learning Italian mostly by and for online content without planning to live there is soul crushingI'm also wondering if I should replace German with some programming or any technical skill or get back to Blender 3D; the entry level seems as difficult as learning German and it could be my way to work remotely from some cool (hot) place like Spain or Italy (it would probably still be a loss for me, but not that terrible). Or learn a technical skill and German and forgot about Romance languages for a while. I'm a bit more drawn to the Romance world, but small German towns and rural Scandinavia are also great. The music scene is also important to me in terms of input, but in general I have a problem that it is easier for me to reach for Polish or English when I am interested in something, whereas in other languages it is B2/C1 level which I won't master for some time

With a European language where you can input right away, is it really better to spend 3 months maturing a couple thousand anki cards, or to spend that time with readers and a reading through a grammar book, and probably ultimately picking up a lot of words through input anyways. Afterwards, you can just do a large anki deck aggressively since the work will be much more easy in order to plug holes in your knowledge.

for the Latin learners here: is it a good idea to start another language after finishing Roma Aeterna?

I figure if you have a decently robust reading ability and a consistent habit of reading, you’ll be able to gradually march across the intermediate plateau with a fairly low daily time commitment after a certain point, which you might reach well before even Romana Aeterna is done. At some point though after FR I really really recommend not just reading readers for a year straight, like go read some actual cool stuff and have fun in the language, or at least remember that that’s an option if you get bored or if RA gets too grindy.
