I am on psychiatric meds for insomnia, anxiety, depression and mild schizophrenia. I take

1) ESCITALOPRAM-10MG
2) Risperidone (2mg)+ Trihexyphenidyl (2mg)
3) Lorazepam(Benzos)

What about you?

I'm not brown so I don't need jewish pills to make my head empty
>>
>>223877454
Westerners take the most medication thoughbeit.
>>
>>223877517
I'm not westerner tho
>>
>>223877422
I take none because psychiatry is a bullshit field that does more harm than good unless you are a schizophrenic
>>
>>223877517
Only Americans because drug advertisement is legal there
>>223877608
Psychiatry has been reduced to 15 minute outpatient work and prescription writing to get patients out of the door, clinical psychology isn't much better tbqh, they've become technicians to psychiatrists
>>
>>223877676
The amount of quackery that goes on in both is insane and the side effects of the drugs they prescribe are often far worse than the symptoms they treat. Unless your mental illness is severe enough that it literally impairs you with psychosis I do not recommend psychiatry whatsoever.

I know from experience unfortunately
>>
>>223877559
You are
>>223877751
Same but I see no way out. I am addicted.
>>
>>223877422

indian AND all of that?
>>
>>223877422
I take paracetamol when my back hurts sometimes.
That's it.
>>
>>223877805
Yes. And it hasn't exactly cured me.
>>
>>223877751
Drugs work, even if it's just very short term relief, clinical psychologists fought for the right to be independent diagnosticians but ended up becoming subservient to psychiatry because medical authority reigns supreme, and chlorpromazine revolution gave medicos the authority to prescribe drugs for mental illness

Nobody has the patience to sit through psychotherapy when there is a drug solution

>>223877454
are antidepressants hard to quit? like sertraline and lexapro for example. i know benzos are nightmare level to quit if you take them daily
>>
>>223877885
i don't know why i replied to that anon but the question still stands
>>
>>223877885
If you have been taking them long term yes. Basically giga-depression on steroids and you have to step it down in very small parts.
It took my brother a year to get off his completely and he suffered the side effects the entire time.

being indian is an extreme cause of depression and misery.
It takes a strong soul to endure life as an indian

Thoughts on my meds?

I'm not a therapist but I'm on meds too (for schizophrenia), sounds like yours are treating the symptoms and not the root of the issue. You're on quite a lot of hard shit.
I take 100mg amisulpride (to stay calm), 1g depakine (to kill the night thoughts), and 1.5mg cariprazine for motivation and fix the dopamine issues. Fixing the dopamine system was what got me out of the depression/insanity loop.
1 good pill that works well is better than 5 pills that barely work. You might want to talk to your therapist about it. Only issue I can think of is if your country doesn't allow a specific drug, like I can't have cariprazine in France so I buy it in Germany (they let me because the therapist makes a specific prescription).
>>223877885
Not hard to quit if you progressively lower the dose until none, but if I'm not mistaken benzos are also euphoric and stuff so psychologically addictive on top of being risky mollecules.
I know about sertraline because I know a few people who used to take it ; if it works it's not hard to quit because the depression went away, if it doesn't work it's a bit hard because you still gotta process quitting sertraline while taking another drug, so it's just a mind game. It's not hard other than psychologically, because when you quit sertraline when it doesn't work you're like "ahhh shit the meds don't work now I gotta be careful not dying I'm so saddd" because you're depressed.

Psy meds are fucking great, medicine is fucking great, but I'm a bit surprised now I see you guys take lots of drugs for specific symptoms. I dunno either your therapists struggle to find what you really have or they try to swat wasps when you gotta remove the nest. But I dunno, it's not myu job after all.
Never hesitate to say you feel bad if a drug makes you feel bad, and if it makes you feel nothing don't think it's because it doesn't work (sometimes it takes weeks to work).

only armodafinil. also loratadine because my cat sheds like a motherfucker and benadryl doesn't do anything
>>
>>223877422
Alcohol is my medication.

I did what this anon did >>223879365 and it got so bad I almost lost my life and career. Now I take gas station heroin which just takes away the shitty chest ripping bullshit called anxiety. Therapeutic dose is only 37.5mg per day divided in to 3 doses 12.5mg each. For how well and unaddictive it is I am surprised at the results after proper adjustment which was extremely shitty with schizo episodes and the dreaded akathisia which is why the shrink always asks if you are not suicidal because that thing could drive anyone insane. Unfortunately it is known worldwide for being gas station heroin due to Americans abusing it en masse because it is sold as a "supplement" in doses of over 1000mg+ in gas stations.

Just Googled those, I refuse to believe baldies take pills to try and stop their balding. The Google results were manipulated by nefarious actors in an attempt to fuck with me.
>>
>>223880686
Well they work. I haven’t done many good choices in my life but taking those pills was. Fuck my genetics for balding
