A Polish couple bought this cottage 10-15 years ago, becoming neighbours to my grandparents and they fixed it up and made it extremely nice. They even helped a couple of the other elderly villagers with some roof problems. Poles seem nice to me.

The things that didn't make it to the canon were things that were unreliable but they were preserved as apocrypha so it's not like they burned them and said "nooo this doesn't fit my narrative it has to be destroyed". But, Rome was converted, and it took martyrs who believed beyond a shadow of a doubt, Jesus was real historians don't doubt that, and as for the other stuff like Virgin Birth it's a matter of if you can or cannot believe that God is real and can act in miraculous ways. I think a lot of strange and bizarre things happen in this world and some of them are beautiful and poetic as if God is doing it and some are vile as if the Devil is doing them. And just because you can explain it in material terms or in coincidence you can't really explain the existence itself so you can't really claim that it is a fact that everything is just chaotic flux of energy-matter in space-time when it is clearly governed by extra physical logical and mathematical order of unknown origin.
