But how likely am I to get in trouble for being right wing? Do germans like talking politics in social situations? Is it as toxic to be right wing in germany as it is for example to be a trump supporter in US or a brexit supporter in UK? Because in Lithuania I think people genuinely care less about your political beliefs than in other countries. As long as you're anti Russia that is.

And reaching level C1 in German is impossible for many who live in Germany for 5-10 years. I tried learning German, but the problem is that there's absolutely zero interesting content in German. Germany is completely irrelevant culturally, despite the fact that there are approximately 90-100 million Germans worldwide. This is somewhat of a mystery to me, because Britain produces far more interesting content in English. This is probably because the media industry in the anglo english-speaking world is much more developed than in any other language.

If you're in in uni people will be very outspokenly lefty, if youre working construction or other manual labor they'll prolly be vocal afd chuds, if you're working an office job they'll probably not talk too much about it but usually have moderate opinions.
