Mexicans unironically don't care the cartel. I've seen many say "uhh the cartel doesn't bother you of you don't bother them. What's the big deal?" They're basically saying "Yeah we have no democracy and every election is rigged by gangs and people are being beheaded in the streets, but none of that is my problem."I also found out recently that mexicans don't have the right to bare arms. The country is absolutely hopeless.

One of them told me he wasn’t going back for a while because it fucked him up seeing a pile of dead kids behind a building. This was many years ago though
