How does your city compete with Moscow, the biggest city in Europe?
>>
>>223957196
how come russia only have like 2 cities
>>
>>223957196
You could've chosen any part of moscow but no you had to chose the ugliest one

Saratov is Russia's 17th city by size and has a population higher than Frankfurt or Marseille

We have gasoil and electricity. We're not at war either and don't have to worry about drones striking my workplace or home.

Marseille is 1.9 million and Saratov is 0.9 million. As for Frankfurt, compare picrel with Saratov. Frankfurt is 7th worldwide for QoL and there isn't a single Russian city in the top 50.
>>
>>223957555
>let's build a giant monstrosity instead of renovating the commieblocks in the back
really got your priorities straight
>>
>>223957606
>Frankfurt is 7th worldwide for QoL
seems like a sketchy statistic to me, considering the drug use and all the terrorist attacks there
>>
>>223957790
Bring me a better statistic then. The last drone attack in Moscow was probably today.

>On 1 August, 5 people were killed and 19 were injured after a bomb exploded at a large banquet at the Balzi Rossi Italian restaurant-café.
In Moscow going to a restaurant has a non-zero chance of being killed by a terrorist bombing. What about Ukraine? How is unmined coal in the Donbass going to undo the deaths in central Moscow?
>>
>>223957196
Moscow really doesn't look that impressive
>>
>>223957996
To put this into perspective this is this August. Two weeks ago. There was another suicide bombing that killed two people and injured two more in Moscow Savyolovsky railway station in February this year. Why do you complain about terrorism in Frankfurt?
>>
>>223958073
>but what about Ukraine
We're talking about living in Russia. How will bombing Ukraine change anything that I'm saying? Russia has frequent terrorist attacks.
>>
>>223958116
i would still feel safer living there than cities like frankfurt where 30% of the population are radical muslims affiliated with isis

>>223957196
Definitely nothing as large as those buildings I would say and also I know there are much larger in Moscow but I don't buy into all that skyline skyscraper tism I just want the city to be clean have some nice architecture, not be run down and have greenery. I'd have to go there to compare.

>How does your city compete with Moscow, the biggest city in Europe?
Well with only 220k metro population (compared to 21 million around Moscow) it certainly can't compete in size and the "hustle and bustle" of a big city
And the tallest buildings here are a couple of commie blocks from the 70s at around 100 meters if that's important
But we have access to the Mediterranean sea, its islands, forests, mountains that are covered with snow during winter and ski resort all within 30 minutes drive from the city. Lots of precipitation and arguably the best tap water in the country so water security is as high as it gets and the whole region is relatively irrelevant in global terms so drone attacks, missiles and nukes are much less of a threat here than in Moscow or any other capital for that matter.
>>
>>223962585
nigga you have a aggressive born through war crimes seperatist republic a few kilometeres from your capital
>>
>>223962818
Unlike Zagreb my town isn't a target for Serbs or claimed by the Serbs as part of Greater Serbia and we're relatively far from their countries with the Dinaric alps historically protecting us from Turks and their ilk.
Despite this a lot of Serbs moved here in the last 100 years and since there was no fighting in the 90s not a lot of them left like in war-torn parts of Croatia.
>>
>>223957196
I dont live in a city its a town of about 80,000 which is about as big of an urban center as I'd ever live in

Cities suck. The traffic sucks. The noise sucks. The crime sucks. The roads suck. The smell sucks. Also most of the people suck too.
>>
>>223963769
Have you many blacks there. What are they like?
>>
>>223959127
bodied that freak
>>
>>223963792
No, almost none. I live in Montana so we have more natives than blacks and despite how shit the reservations are and how much meth and alcohol has decimated them the worst of the natives are far better than the worst of the blacks. Its not even close.

The only blacks we get are ones who idk go play for the university football or basketball team or the ones with an IQ above 110 who are named "Tyler" and work as a bank teller or something.
>>
>>223963903
thats what i am curious about. Black people in absolute miniority in smaller almost white towns. How they interact with them

>>
>>223963971
The ones we do get tend to be higher iq blacks and theyre fine, integrate well usually just go to church and dont cause any problems. Anytime the ooga booga crowd comes up here it never goes well. After hurricane Katrina the feds decided to a move a bunch of them to Billings and they got targetted hard by the local cops and other people in Billings. We really dont tolerate what they do out in the cities in this state. Even Missoula which is a liberal sanctuary town that takes a lot of refugees cracks down on that hard and has a massive police force.

I think Moscow is quite nice except the skyscrapper area (Moscow City) which is as dystopic as it gets
>>
>>223967108
They don't have to come directly here. A literal funnel, anywhere in the greater Toronto area will work, especially if you line a few people up at the entrance.

Warsaw downtown is much more pleasant to hang around than Moscow City
It's not as dense and there's at least some greenery around
Moscow City is an overcrowded glass and concrete hell in comparison

I know, I really enjoyed it. What I meant is that I think it's better when the skyscrappers are more spread around rather than all being concentrated in one place
>>
Central parts of Tbilisi look ok. The rest is a shithole. Old soviet commieblocks look horrid because there was no regulation (or even rule of law) in the 90s so my countrymen just build stuff on top of these buildings

Most of India's sky scrapers are residential especially in Mumbai because the population density is through the roof and the city is on a bay and cannot expand

you'd definitely get laughed out of the room if you told anybody here that 80k is 'not a city'
funny how perspectives differ. i know people who would never live somewhere with more than 5,000 people because of all the traffic and crime and filth
