>no AC because non-meme ACs that actually work are the split systems that need to be permanently installed and that installation is only legal when done by a professional which is a +3k € job
>no mobile split AC because for them to work you need to have your balcony door open where the pipe that connects both parts go which basically invites surprise visits by fine gentlemen at night who'd like to take some souvenirs

>have to keep windows shut and shutters down at day time like a fucking caveman to keep new heat out
>have to keep windows shut in the evening because three (3) water droplets rained from the sky increasing the humidity by 70%
>have to keep windows shut AT NIGHT TOO now because smoke from forest fires gets blown over so now you have to keep the old heat in AND still get gradually worse and worse air because the smoke starts seeping in anyway
Who needs breathable air anyway?
How are you holding up fellow euros?

idk what you're talking about. mini split ac's are eveywhere here and there's no issues with installation (it's free)
>>
Just use a window unit or one of those Japanese above-the-door air conditioners.
>>
No idea what this freak is talking about, I just have ac

i have not even used a fan this summer
just ignore the heat its not hard

I'm suffering
fuck summer and fuck leftists who made it impossible to install AC
though it's not like I have the money to buy one anyway
>>
Stop the cope, unless you live in some culturally protected building in the old towns of Paris or Rome (no one you have ever spoken to in your life does), then you’re literally a couple thousand euros, 4 houres, and a HVAC guy from having a proper fixed heat pump AC setup

if you live somewhere where you can't have a door unlocked at night because this is a concern then that's entirely your fault
just move somewhere else
>but I don't have the money to move!
get a job

Rentoids don't have a say in the matter, it's up to the landlord or/and housing cooperation if those are a thing in Germany.

These small portable AC units that don't require a professional installation. Only meant to cool down a single room.

i was wondering what the deal was with europeans not using AC during the summer heatwave and i looked into the whole issue recently

i found that a lot of european governments, as well as the EU, actually discourage AC purely because their energy policy is completely garbage and they don't actually know how to handle the increased load on the current energy grid but they spin it as caring for the climate because the politicians grew up in a leftist environment and they therefore setup the curriculum for the public education system to drill it into the heads of young people that AC is bad for the environment, when really it's just that they don't want people to use it because they are worthless cowards with no political acumen whatsoever

that's the issue, i need that room to be the bedroom

but the portable units are always noisy + i don't have a balcony door in my bedroom. instead i have one of those "german" windows (now also swedish) that opens in 3 ways and have absolutely massive window frames that require you to pretty much open the window at 45 degrees to get a hose through

also older buildings are all concrete that keeps heat well, so the moment you turn off the AC the walls reheat the air right back
>>
Europeons are pathetic
>>
>>223963890
I can promise you not a single person here would ever give a fuck about their landlords opinion on window AC units. If a landlord ever asked someone to remove one they would be told to blow it out their ass.

That pic shows the issue quite well.
>balcony door always open
>heat keeps creeping back in through the slid
>open to burglars
