What’s stopping you from learning another language in your country
I'm mindbroken unironically
>>223967283I already speak Polish and English and there is not enough incentive to learn another language.
>>223967283don't want to fuck up my brain by creating a doppelganger or something.
>>223967283i don't want to
>>223967283I don't have to so I can't motivate myself to.
>>223967283I speak French and that's enough, you don't need to know anything else here.
>>223967283Last time I tried, I gave up, because the Japanese side of the internet is unironically incredibly boring. That, and I grew tired of how the language sounds and is structured. English is just a far better language.
>>223967283I speak Italian (native), German (fluent) and English (B2) and frequently forget how to say some words in ItalianI'd like to learn French someday but I don't know if my brain can handle 4 languages
>>223967450le based
>>223967465I got Jap fatigue too. I went from being a total weeb who would basically only read manga and watch anime to these days almost never doing either thing
depression :l
Language learning requires immersion. Immersion requires travel money.
>>223967283i want to learn french but i don't know how to learn a new language
I already speak three languages.Unless you have a practical reason to learn one, it's dumb to spend thousands of hours on it.If you learn languages for leisure you probably have too much free time in your hands and not enough adult responsibilities.
>>223967283Still working on my French. Motivation has been fluctuating lately which is annoying.
>>223967283I already now English decently enough that's enough
>>223967283lazyness
>>223968846>Language learning requires immersionNo it doesn't and immersion only really works once you reach B2
>>223967283I am though idk who told you I wasn't
my brain isn't infiniteyet
>>223969644you're "greek", most of it is probably empty still
>>223968869Why would you want to learn French?
>>223967283I want to learn Finnish, but there's not a lot of use for it in Canada.
>>223970019It sounds cool.
>>223969594I met a Punjabi donermonger in Vitoria-Gaseitz who spoke Euskal, Spanish, English, and his own language. You think he used Duolingo?
>>223967465i see, but you do know that there are FAR more languages to be learned other than english and japanese, right?
let's say that I power through it for one or two years, then what?
i can understand some japanese but mostly gave up because i don't care about japslop as much anymore plus im too retarded. recently started learning spanish and have been enjoying it
>>223971031You would've learned a new languagemoron
>>223971172
>>223970297No, he just used the internet, simple as that. If he could do it, then you have no excuse not to either. You have the internet, you can literally download hundreds of educational books for your target language or watch the hundreds of educational videos on YouTube.
>>223969594It absolutely does. You don't actually speak the language unless you've been properly exposed to the sociological contexts.
I'm too old. Language learning is impossible after a certain age, or not "impossible", but it takes way too long for it to be practical. Maybe after 20 years of German I'll have the same intuition that a 5 year old native has naturally. It's the same with every other skill that's based on intuition and subconscious processing, after a certain age it's very difficult to acquire certain aspects so you will always have a skill "ceiling".
I've studied FrenchI want to study German, Russian and Classical Chinese next
>>223967283I learned the one language you actually need and haven't been able to care since
>>223967283I cannot learn language outside of "class environment". Learned English in school, spanish and italian at courses. But cannot do shit alone with french or russian, but there is no courses in my town, online courses suck ass and I'm to poor for private tutor.
>>223967283what should I learn?JapaneseFrenchGerman
