Are these not a thing in cold countries? Never seen one irl.
Whats so awful about them when they're completely harmless and defenseless?

Their behavior is quite erratic, they're fast and may fly towards you when startled. Also you know they're dirty since they most likely crawled through drainage/sewer pipes into your house, so you don't want them wandering around your kitchen for instance, cats love them though.
it's not hard to get rid of them with picrel and nets on your drain covers
>>
>>223968826
They seem to be really common in america?
>>
They're filth. You gain nothing from having them around. I heard they eat bedbugs, but they probably wouldn't be able to exterminate an infestation
>>
>>223968720
I never saw any until I moved to an apartment building. I absolutely hate them. Normal bugs are stupid, when they panic they just run amok, no direction, like a broken vacuum robot, they're easy to squish, they move slowly, etc. Cockroaches are hard, hitting them won't necessarily kill them, they make a crunchy sound when you step on them, they're all meaty on the inside, they can live underwater for far too long, you can spray bug poison directly at them and they'll just laugh in your face, they're unnaturally fast, way faster than you'd expect a big bug to be and worst of all, they seem genuinely intelligent, when you approach them, they have rational escape routes, they know how to hide where you can't reach them. They learn to go outside when you're sleeping. If you stay up until 3 am, they will learn and will not go around until 4 am.

They have tried to break into my house several times, and once they successfully broke into my grandmother's house and occupied it for several years
During hot and rainy seasons, they try to get into your home, so having cats is a good way to keep them away or ensure they are quickly eliminated

We now have the amber wood cockroach who previously only lived at the Italian side of the alps. They live outside and eat plants but some of them get lost inside and then you get scared that you have a roach infestation at home

Some sprays need 2-3 seconds of contact to be effective.
>they have rational escape routes
They leave pheromones or something when they walk, that's how they can trace back.
>They learn to go outside when you're sleeping. If you stay up until 3 am, they will learn and will not go around until 4 am.
Nah that's just bullshit. Black cockroaches are not that scared of human presence but they're scared of loud noise. They also really avoid venturing out when there's lights on unless they're hungry.

>I just grab these retards by their antenna then throw them out of the house.
Do brown people not put the gloves on at least?
I constantly wash my hands while I prepare food and cook, avoid cross contamination by instinct, have an idea of how unclean surfaces/things are.
Do you not know that these things carry disease?
>>
>>223969563
I'm sorry, we can't hear you being a disingenuous faggot over the sound of all this winning. The truth is, we're the standard for what first world is, all other countries aspire to be America, and the fact that we have some thirdies within the bounds of the United States doesn't make us third world any more than having mudslimes in Sweden makes you advocates of Sharia Law.

>We take our situation for granted up here in the nordics
Its called being mostly homogenous and low-population. You can aspire to any standard of treatment, government or life as long as you have a small population to suck on the teat of luxury and you're same-enough to not feel the need for constant upheaval and revolution. That's changing for the Nordics and America both, and largely for the same reason - our private businesses and politicians are allowing the third world inside the gates. It still doesn't define the nations in which we live until the minorities become a clear majority and take political control, but you'd better hope that America doesn't cease being first world. At that point, there's no hope for western life or civilization left in the world and nobody left for Europe to bitch to about their inevitable collapse.
>>
>>223968720
>Whats so awful about them when they're completely harmless and defenseless?
They look disgusting and carry disease. Of course not every single one carries disease but disgust is built into us.
Depending on the species they can get quite big.
They multiply like crazy and infest. They're pretty much the most resilient bug. They can basically survive everything that's not an anti-cockroach spray or something that will squash them. They run fast. They usually prefer hiding and walking where the walls meet the floor and crevices. Hard to get rid of.
A lot of bugs are harmless and defenseless but most bugs are kind of chill and stupid. These things startle you. Also, they just look creepy.
>>223969563
You live in cold climate, braindead retard, no country can eradicate cockroaches. They are impossible to eradicate. You can get rid of them in your home though, obviously,

I think I've seen a cockroach like twice in my life. Never understood how people get them and I live like a slop, ateast when I don't have a girl living with me. I evenearned last year that apparently they can fly? I think they just aren't common here or at least in the are I live in.
Ive heard that cockroaches actually prefer clean homes, but dunno if that's just an urban myth.

Now fucking flies on the other hand, God I fucking hate those. I haven't opened the nets on my windows a single time this summer and somehow I still have shitloads of them in my place, despite the AC blasting whole day too.

Building gets infested.
You can clean all you wish but it's not like these bugs need a McDonald burger to survive.
When I plugged all the gaps in my home, there are none of them anymore. And that's always your best bet. They cannot teleport.
>>
>>223970841
Oh, also these fucks have been the bane of my existence in theast 5-ish years. Never was the case before, but in recent years those started appearing every fucking where.
Aalo, they are resilient as fuck, ive noticed they somehow manage to hide during the autumn and hibernate or whatever, and once it gets cold and I start turning the heating on, the fuckers activate again
Its so fucking surreal to see one of those in the middle of the fucking winter. I just throw them on the snow outside and its enough, but fuck
>>
>>223968720
When these things fly they sound like small helicopters and they fly very quickly and erratically. I don't think I've ever seen a cockroach hover. Unlike other flying insects, cockroaches tend to crash into things rather than trying to land gently. They can handle it because they're pretty tough.

There's no feeling quite like walking around at night when you hear a loud droning sound and suddenly a cockroaches crashes into your face and somehow falls through your collar into your shirt, then the cockroach panics and you pnaic as well when your brain registers what just happened and you scramble to get the cockroach out of your shirt and off your body by swiping and slapping and flailing around wildly

Yeah, thats what I do during the summer, just a piece of tp and throw them in the toilet. And yeah, they don't really stink, unless you crush them.
