Memeing aside, who objectively lives better lives, poor struggling Thirdies with lots of friends, family and community or well off, stable firsties with few friends and family and little community? Which life do you prefer?
>>223969958I'm pretty sure that several months in a row with extreme cold and darkness are very mentally exhausting
>>223969958>objectively...Firsties
>>223969958i know that image is just a meme but the premise simply isnt true, most lyrics that comes out of those places are sad stories about murder and heartbreaks and how being rich is cool and how many women the artist fuck/how many lamborghini urus he owns
>>223969958firsties trying to do the "thirdies with simpler problems who don't need material wealth to be happy because la familia o algo" thing are so exhaustingthere's a reason thirdies move to firstie countries and not vice versa**firsties who move to thirdie countries do it using firstie wealth and don't live thirdie lives
>>223969958You wouldn't get it.
>>223969958our towns have to look like that because otherwise half of the population is going to rope in winter
>>223969958Yes thirdies that have unlimited sex with brown women and have a big family that loves them surely suffer all that meanwhile they get 200+ days of perfect weather
>>223970794they get paid hundred times less to buy hundred times cheaper groceries and their buildings dont look like a lego set so surely life must be miserable
>>223970862>they get paid hundred times lesstrue>hundred times cheaper groceriesuntrue
>>223969958This argentinian song talks about that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X5pDyGnjVZM
>>223969989Not for us who sleep
>>223970979Would you say the average Mexican lives a genuinely happier life than his worldly conditions suggest?
>>223970583Thirdies move to first world countries mainly because of the exchange rate. Essentially, they get to earn 5-100x doing the same job there and send the money back home. They put up having low pay (by firstie standards) and being treated like dogs just to have this "bonus stage". Most will prefer not to leave their families and country if not for this currency exchange difference.
>>223969958Billionaire class firsties> millionaire class firsties > elite thirdies> well off thirdies> middle class thirdies> middle class firsties> power gap> poor firsties> Dante's inferno> poor thirdies
>>223972360>middle class thirdies> middle class firsties?
>>223972334you're describing one group of immigrants but not all thirdies move with the idea of sending remittances back, the standard of living you get from living and working in a firstie country is simply higher on average for example in algeria remittances aren't that common, people move for themselves primarily
>>223972386That's even worse.
>>223972396what's worse?
>>223972334Yeah but that's not an accident or the product of central bank shysterism (or even of exchange rates per se), that's the Balassa-Samuelson result
