It's the most packed but also one the most boring asean capital there is, might be only slightly better than Manila.
If you just want to experience asean, go to Bangkok or Singapore

Pretty dirty. Not like India but way dirtier than Bangkok. Traffic is lawless. No one respect red lights and motorbikes drive against the direction.
There is nothing to see. Everything people do from meeting to family time, they do it in malls. Street food is good.
I'd rather visit other cities.
