>Western nationalists: "My fellow Aryan sons of Valhalla, we must stand together against the brown hordes invading our homelands!">Arab nationalists: "Wallahi brother we must unite under the banner of the prophet (saw) to destroy the satans Israel and America and rebuild the caliphate!">Turkic nationalists: "My KARA BOĞA brethren we must crush the Indo-European, Semitic and Sino-Tibetan menace, we are the sons of Attila, TURAN forever!" >Slavic nationalists: "Those people on the other side of the Drina who are genetically and phenotypically identical to us worship Jesus in a slightly different way and pronounce some words differently, slaughter them all like sheep!"
>>224027960>Arab nationaliststhey aren't religious doe they're just as retarded
>>224027960The Serbs attacked Croatia because Croatia, which had been a cash cow for 70 years, decided to leave Yugoslavia. This means that Belgrade would be left without Croatian money, and that Croatian Serbs would be left without jobs because they had infiltrated Croatian institutions in Jewish quotas and were privileged for 45 years. And most importantly of all - the Serbian national frustration is that they have no access to the sea, they tried to occupy Croatian coastal cities and finally get their own sea. It was not a religious war, nor did religion create these two nations, and the war leaders on both sides were former communists/atheists. The genetic or religious component has nothing to do with it, even if the Serbs were Catholics just like us, they would still start a war.
>>224027960Otto von Habsburg worked tirelessly for not only the recognition of croatia as a sovereign state but also as a central european state. Visting Zagreb during serbian artillery attacks and campaigning for croatia personally across europe and even the middle east. > During his political career, Otto von Habsburg paid special attention to the countries that had formerly been part of the Habsburg Monarchy. He had a special relationship with Croatia, as he was the last heir to the throne, who learned Croatian from his tutors and followed the country’s fate closely from his youth. He was saddened to learn that the new geopolitical realities of Yalta had for some time removed Croatia from the Central European community of which it had been an integral part for centuries. Thereafter, in the 1990s, during the turbulent period of the break-up of Yugoslavia, he consistently defended Croatia’s right to national self-determination and did much to secure the country’s international diplomatic recognition. After the establishment of independent statehood of Croatian, Otto von Habsburg also played a major role in promoting the country’s accession to the European Union. He held a large exhibition in the european parliament showcasing croatian landscapes and arhitecture to further show that it never was a balkan nation. He even travelled with a croatian passport. But no, you know more than an actual heir to an empire, veteran diplomat, writer, president of the pan european union, son to a blessed figure and an unfathomably well educated man.
Croats won't admit it openly but Serbian culture is more prominent in Croatia nowadays than it used to be in Yugoslavia times (where it was supposedly forced upon Croats).
>>224029031I admit it. But it is not practised by croats but rather the 500k bosnians that moved here. We are getting fucked but one cannot say that it is our culture.
>>224027960Actually it was the opposite.Slavic nationalists or Panslavists wanted unity despite major cultural and civilizational differences, which were in our regions much more significant than anywhere else in mainland Europe.Which is why it failed spectacularly and the groups started to hate each other. If "Yugos" didn't live in the same country we would probably like each other way more today and there wouldn't be any animosity
>>224027960> Turkic nationalists: "My KARA BOĞA brethren we must crush the Indo-European, Semitic and Sino-Tibetan menace, we are the sons of Attila, TURAN forever!"Um based department?

>>224027960its deeper then that the split was due to varied and changing ottoman administrative policy and how they practiced feudalism/how the austrians and the rest of europe practiced it and how the balkan groups self administered to fit in it.Its a interesting topic that you will never hear because its gatekept in favor of dumb nationalism
>>224027960Fuck Croatia.

>>224032531It's good that Yeltsin was the way he was for Croatia because NATO had completely embargoed weapon exports to Croatia and after the Yugoslav army started retreating from Slovenia they emptied our barracks along the way leaving people to make pic rel. Even South American politicians were getting arrested for trying to help us with weapons. NATO admitted they wanted to preserve Yugoslavia so they didn't want to arm Croatia.
