not OP but sometimes I feel insecure where comparing french with english. English really has a word for everything. They have like a dozen different words just for different types of walking. It's a powerful language that is pretty malleable, and every word has a direct synonym. French on the contrary is so stiff and unoriginal. It sounds better than english and words often have more personality compared to the germanic brevity of many english words, but that's all there is to it. It's not a practical language, it's not unique, and it's replaceable
>>224088369French is a pure language (even if uglier than Italian) whereas English is a mutt language. The whole “word for everything” is a meme and just means “this concept has a Germanic word used by peasants and a Romance word used by nobility”. It’s literally the highest tier of linguistic cuckoldry.
>they can use a word for this a-and that makes them cuckolds- Krauts are DEEPLY mentally-ill
why bother? native speakers fetishise accents. our elite class mispronounce words on purpose to differentiate themselves from the oiks.
>>224088421>French is a pure language
>>224088480>t. Albertinho Macacosa
>>224088047Keep at it, and you'll get the skill eventuallyThe question is, are you putting work in?
>>224088421stroll, saunter, meander, tread, shuffle, hike, trek, limp, stagger, amble, step, wander, trudge, shuffle, trot, stride, pace, hoof, swagger, waddle... basically all germanic words, and each mean something distinctas for the synonyms, i meant things like spirit and ghost, saint and holy, so yes here it's about french words
>>224088543ow wow you watched that yt video that was in my recommendations toofuck this gay website and faggots like you who ruined it>spirit and ghost, saint and holyliterally the same thing but stemming from either commoners or Norman nobility
>>224088369English is great because it's both Latin and Germanic. Every Germanic word has a Latin with the same but slightly different meaning. You could use a dark Saxon word like "Ghost" or an ephemeral whispy Latin word like "Spirit". "Brotherly" doesn't have quite the same meaning as "fraternal". To "eat" something is different slightly from having to "ingest" something.
