Every port in the world is gone and the global economy collapses. You likely won't have a job for long so don't bother going. Better to start studying how to farm and fish and whatever.
>>
>>224312590
As long as anyone has to add some money on their steam account, I still have my job.

>>224312602
People won't have any money so they likely won't be adding it to any accounts.
>>
>>224312686
I don't think it will be such a collapse. People would get over it in a few years.
>>
Looks like my commuter town shithole would become the new coastal main city
>>
>>224312746
Without any ports in the entire world it means the end of global shipping which means the end of global industry, global agriculture, global markets. A massive amount of companies will go under, banks will go under because they won't be getting back the money they loaned to those companies, there will be massive starvation around the world, most of the world won't have any fuel. It will be a total economic collapse.
>>
big parts of europe would be unliveable frozen hellholes if all that ice melts
>>
>>224312839
You know you can build a port, right?
>>
>>224312868
Not overnight. Without a functional economy it's pretty hard to build one and once you finally get it built there's no more ships because they've been abandoned a long time ago just like the factories etc.
>>
>>224312910
You're being too dramatic. It won't happen like that.

Are all the sailors just going to hang around at the ship waiting for new ports to be built? What will they eat and who will pay for it all? How do the shipping companies make money while they wait for new ports to be built? How will they be able to retain their workforce with no money? How do factories keep going without new materials? How do they keep making money with nothing to produce? How do they keep their workforce with no money? What are shops going to sell when factories don't produce anything and nothing is shipped anywhere and how do they keep their workforce when they're no longer getting money? How do businesses that rely on goods produced in factories keep operating? How do they keep paying wages and paying their bills and loans if they can't do business when the economy comes to a halt? Who's going to buy anything anywhere when they're no longer getting paid?

And that's all just assuming the disappearance of the ports themselves and not counting the loss of other land which for a lot of cases includes those factories themselves and loads of agricultural land, entire cities with the headquarters of major financial institutions, data centers and other critical institutions, infrastructure and businesses that kept the world going. All gone in a single night. Just vanished. You're entirely delusional if you think that's going to be just a minor economic depression.
