I have been thinking that I have this ability, through my efforts and maybe intellect, or maybe some kind of special ability to see things clearly through to excel in any intellectual field. I keep seeing philosophers, scientists, other people like that making mistakes, being naive and I wish to critique all of it and I feel like I can do it, I feel like I'm one of the few people in the world who has the special insight other people lack, that people think often consciously in self-contradicting and inconsistent categories. Everything I learn seems to feel like it makes this special ability to see things clearly better and better, like a sharpening a knife, it gets better and better. I argue with pseuds sometimes and I feel like I just know things better and understand the world better than them by far which just pushes me and motivates me to study more and more (studying takes up most of my free time, the rest is listening to music like white girl pop)
Is this a self-fulfilling prophecy? Even assuming that I am simply delusional and mentally ill, this feeling of superiority (though it isn't really superiority as such) motivates me and gives me confidence to study more and more things. I feel like if I studied pretty much any scientific field I could get a good grasp of it, physics, chemistry, anything.

the cure for this is to earnestly try at something and realize you ain't shit after all
>>
Nigga one thread at I time what field do you work in in I hope it's not healthcare.
>>
If you are not shitposting and want some talk before I take zolpidem and pass out this is the time. I published some articles myself.

Not a shitpost this is how I feel unironically

There's Lithuanian who always posts his radiation tag and is a radiologist, I assumed that was you, I apologise for my previous outburst, carry on then

I focused my whole life on being a nip/chink bugman who is good at it academics. While I am good at it won't offer the release you think. I will always remember the angry words from my colleague family doctor, find a girl or friends and stop being a overly educated retard

PET/CT is cheaper than that here jeet fuck off it's also for oncology patients where you have trouble finding veins because they have been through chemotherapy.

What problem do you have with me. Mind you I am not working my full specialty due to a stupid contract so I am your average nurse or MD. Once I am free I will be putting up femoral stents or working with stroke patients, vascular surgery.
>>
>>224305214
I don't give a fuck about doctorsqueak, I only know about nuclear imaging from my cog psy coursework, some dumb fuck chapter about neurocognitive imaging studies and MRIs being donut shaped

I understand, I’m an aristocrat at heart, a sort of temporarily embarrassed millionaire but for my class and standing in life

I don't care too much about formal academia, like university (although I do have a degree) and all of my experiences with it were disappointing, because I didn't see a genuine desire to understand, but stupid politics and other problems. I spend most of my free time studying something, probably in total 4 to 6 hours and then the rest of the time I keep thinking about academic topics. I am extremely bad at small talk and talking with people about normal life things. If I'm talking with someone I'll always inevitably either talk about science/philosophy or something like that, or that person's field if it's interesting enough but almost never about personal things.
I have depression, so I think this kind of attitude towards life is sort of caused by this. I know that I wasn't always like this.
I have no partner and no interests in having one, I don't go out anywhere apart from the library sometimes

If you do actually study( not Wikipedia) you probably do
But maybe your delusions exist because you only argue with pseuds.
>>
>>224305471
do they even have tractors up there
thought they indentured ivans every plowing season
>>
>>224305564
Some Lithuanians keep stealing their tractors.

I had some old army manual book from the 30s and it had a section on neighboring countries. There was a picture of some dirty farmoids which said
>lithuanian contract workers are a common sight in zemgale during harvest season. they come here for the much higher hourly rates.
or something to that effect.
>>
Nice talking to you, hope I won't remember this conversation after taking 10mg of zolpidem, best of luck to everyone.
>>
>>224305625
more things change the more they stay the same, innit
whether digging up turnips in bumfuck zemgale, or getting bumfucked in hmp belmarsh, the lithuanian man will endure

I mean in all fairness this entire board suffers from delusions of grandeur the way they believe that they have the abilities to change the world and save europa by simply shitposting all day and insulting all the groups they dislike.
>>
>>224305954
think it's more of a coping mechanism than genuine beliefs in most cases, tbqh

Stop throwing baguettes at a glass building that's not the problem. What kind of grandeur.

I experienced something like that in my youth and my mental state was criticized outside as "metaphysical intoxication".
But I don't think that there are some "true" philosophers with no metaphysical intoxication in anamnesis and "false" philosophers stuck in that state. All philosophers have gone through this at one time or another, it's a specific psychological type, and there's nowhere else philosophers come from. Metaphysical intoxication is like a childhood illness of philosophers.
I have not become a professional philosopher but I constantly run various abstract thoughts through my head, trying to become more down-to-earth.
>>
>>224306356
You realize it wasn't funny the first time you said this right? And that the only reason you say this is because France is an abstraction you don't know anything about (when you should) and can only recognize by "uhhh baguette and eiffel tower or something?"

Come on now this is TOO EASY

Well why don't you do that then
