are locomotive engineers paid well in your country?
is this the new gta?
>>224311971YEETlooks survivable
Imagine the shit an infrastructural engineer has to deal with in the Jeetsphere, in some cases literally
>>224311971>locomotive engineersyou mean train drivers? They are not engineers (lol) and yes, hey take 3000 euros/month o algo
being a train driver here was one of the worst jobs imaginable until 20 years ago, it was as if all the worst aspects of this country’s labor culture were concentrated in one place. The pay is decent though, and the job is popular among young men.
>>224312073after tax, right? if before tax that's less than I make in the poorest EU country.
>>224311971No one is paid well in this shithole
>>224312073Train drivers make double that here and then spend all their time on strike or not turning up to work anyway becuase they have a hangover from watching footy last night
I wish I could be a train operator, but we have no trains here.
>>224312254i am not american, dumb question
>>224311971Is the train driver okay?
>>224312490in europe most people give pre-tax salary but 3000 euros seems way too low for a train driver in a developed first world country
Upper-mid range.Their annual salary is around 100,000 to 150,000 yuan(about 15,000-20,000 dollars per year)
>>224312518>pre-tax salarybro im not american again
>>224312534so it's post tax, ok. not so terrible then.
>>224312073They're called engineers in English.
>>224311971He didn't fly so good
>>224312568We call anything an engineer. Ever ask grok to make someone's tits bigger? Congrats, you're a prompt engineer.
Most avarage income job you could have apparently. About 4200€ pre tax. That’s good money here
>>224312589It doesn't have anything to do with the discipline of engineering. Locomotives are called train engines
>>224312589I get you want to be an epic self-hating retard but no, that's not why train operators are called engineers. It's using the -eer suffix to modify a noun to indicate someone associated with that noun, like how an auctioneer runs an auction an engineer literally controls the engine.
>>224311971yes, i am a railroad engineer and make 60/hr but the schedule is atrocious/nonexistent>>224312073we are engineers because we operate engines. trains are also not “driven” in north america, they are run.
>>224312073Sorry ESL-bro but you're wrong here. The word simply has multiple meanings
>>224311971Listings this year advertised €5750 a month. We like to larp as poorfag thirdies but our wages are actually quite high.
>>224311971Some redditor says they make 2k eur net, or 3k if they pick extra shifts
>>224312648>>224312663How does that change my point though?
verybut they have to deal with ppl like that and the train running over moose, deers etcnot a pretty sight
>>224311971truck driver really sacrificed his kid to get 10 seconds faster to his destination lol
>>224311993https://i.4cdn.org/gif/1788075448661281.webm
>>224311988the pole in which the kid flew to looks like its 20-25 meters away from the truck, might be survivable if it wasnt a direct hit from the train and depending on how he landed
looks like he faceplanted on the ground
>>224312663mutts have their panties in a bunch because our elected officials are being retarded and embarrassing us. every observation is a perceived attack it's ruzzia tier
>>224312900you get used to the wildlife desu but people and their dogs really suck
>>224312960my sidesshould add thesehttps://files.catbox.moe/iburr3.mp4https://files.catbox.moe/bhum57.mp4
>>224311971they get paid well but they have no lives outside the railway.I honestly feel for them, nearly became one too but just like having free time more.
>>224313174I saw an entry-level job advertised for the industry lately. The pay was really good for an unskilled position, but they openly say there's basically no structure to the shifts and you have to be on call all the time. Seems like a stretch to make money.
>>224313197if you are some guy who is poor and does not want to get an education and you live in the middle of nowhere with no jobs its probably a great job.The ones in europe that do public transport seem to have an actual structure to their shifts so they aren't constantly on call.It is just private companies out here that enjoy causing suffering for their workers so they chronically understaff.Which is why I desperately avoid the private sector and have always been a public sector officefag, pay might be less but it is 100 percent worth it to be treated like a human being.
>>224312668how many people have you ran over?
>>224313421one in car (fine)one going really slow (hospital, full recovery)one going about 50mph (extremely dead)
>>224311971We don't have locomotive engineers in the philippines.Afaik, the average salary of an engineer here is only 200 usd per month.
I've seen this video before, it's in Vietnam
In 10,000 years if we still use trains there will still be people racing them and there will still be losers.
