My mom's best friend was murdered by her husband after he found out she was cheating on him. He strangled her with the tv cable and then hid her corpse in the fridge. Very disturbing shit. My dad was picked up by war pigs as a teenager and fought in Rhodesia. I knew a guy in high school who stabbed a guy and killed him. He could show messages of the guy threatening his life and had the case downgraded to manslaughter. He could prove he felt his life being in danger as it was going down or something. He only served two years. My cousin got into some retarded drunken scuffle over a taxi during a night out. He hit the guy once and he fell over and cracked his skull on the sidewalk. Also judged as manslaughter. 3 years.
