No, my taxes pay NGOs that give grants to Indians to recycle my plastic after I ship it across the world. Then *they* dump it in the ocean.

seeing roadkill really crushes my spirit

when I was a mailman I saw a mother goose with her little goslings and she was afraid to cross the road with them, kept starting and turning around. It gave me a pit in my stomach. I often feel like industrial capitalism is an irredeemable evil and I don't understand why I'm the only person it bothers.

it's just car infrastructure, cars are terribly inefficient machines that require massive environmental conversions or they completely fall to pieces.

Correct. Malaysia has banned such practices and only allow certain half-processed waste plastics to be imported now. The West mostly dump their plastic trash to third world countries and call it recycling.

>>224460294
not when you also build 2meter tall fence along the main roads, not just highways

It's a two-way highway about 50 km long built over wildlife, actually.
The imigrantes highway is around 60 years old, i take it every month and never heard about accidents there.

the city of São Paulo was built atop a plateau, so creative ways had to be devised to get down from the heights.
Engineers built the highway with a precise 3.4° incline/decline angle, allowing me to drive from the city to the beach without touching the accelerator or the brake (when there is no excessive traffic), which I think is really cool.

Do wild monkeys sometimes jump on the street?
>>
>>224467798
I have seen (dead) tapirs, pacas, ocelots, and coatis there, but its incredibly rare, due to the elevated sections and numerous tunnels
>>
>>224468051
How would they even get up there?
>>
>>224460181
We used to dump trash in the sea thoughbeit. Just make sure to weigh it down and it's a-okay.

>>224460181
1. How likely is it for wildlife to actually take that bridge, given that they probably don't know it exists if they're 1 or 2km away from it? It's not as if animals can read signs directing them to a bridge up ahead.
2. Wouldn't that bridge just become a chokepoint where predators can ambush prey that are taking it?
