How is public transport perceived in your country?I'll begin:>JapanPublic transport is "weird", but only because it is considered unhygienic and dirty. It's said that only hentai old men use it. Nonetheless, the proportion of people using public transport in Tōkyō is quite high (over 80%) compared with the US average (3.7%).Also, people here use "densha/電車" as a generic term for virtually any kind of rail transport, regardless of its specific characteristics.

Ive never seen a single person who doesnt use public transportation. Even some ceo would use it because sometimes it beats car sometimes when it comes to speed

>>224465112is this common in japan?
>>224465112I recognise that train carriage. I swear they must use it for every train JAV scene
>>224465112last time i used public transport was before covid
>>224465112I don't mind public transport but public transport here is too unreliable, late and cancellations all the fucking time, and filled with too many loud rude dickheads and retarded junkies, so I'd rather drive or ride my motorcycle if I don't want to sit in traffic.I know the >public transport>public transport japan meme but when I visited Japan the trains were so much less horrible than here
>>224465112There's no association with public transport usage because all classes use it. Neverthelss, it is an absolute hub for some of the most feral bogans, junkies, troublesome teenagers and the like. Graffiti, people literally shooting heroin and other disgusting behaviours are not uncommon. I can't even imagine what Japs consider unhygienic and dirty, like "omg someone once left a food wrapper on the train". You have no idea how good you have it.
>>224465112It's fucking awful because it receives zero proper investment I live in the south and the local buses(we don't have metro) are so few that people are packed with sardines in rush hours.Plus the tickets are expensive and they aren't always available. For example if I took a bus from work I would spend 2 hours and half to reach home, while with a bike I make in 20 minutes
>>224465457>>224465451Junkies in public transport don't exist where I live at least
when i wasnt a useless the neet i remember the trains being late all the time
Bump.
>>224465112depend, i rarely use it. when i lived in the city the city bus system was effective and reliable, in rush hour it was full of workers, in the afternoon full of kids going to play sports and late hours full of drunk people. i mostly used the airport express its a total different world, its a full tour bus and everyone there is chill and calm because we are all heading to the airport for a reason.rural the only bus service might be the school bus and that can be interesting in itself, sharing a bus with 30 school kids.
>>224465112Completely normal in the city, but it's seen as scary by some rural prople. There's a billion homeless noggas here though, and they are very annoying. Public transit would be much better if they had tard wranglers arresting all the beggars and taking them to a looney bin
