how is the job market iyc?
>>224483972>had a job interview on Tuesday>'We'll get back to you in a few days about next steps>haven't heard anything
>>224483972>medical physicswtf is that? stop going to college for mickey mouse degrees.
As a mechanic the pay is decent but I have zero passion for this backbreaking work and I kinda want to go to college for some sort of engineering or biology degree, but most of my friends who went to school still work in retail, and only one works in something vaguely related to his field and even then he's overqualified for his position.we're in our late 20's so it might be too late at this point for me to start at a lower-wage position in a new career
>>224483972I just got a job as a “lead server”
>>224484152>mechanics in the USA earn 200k starting
>>224483972It's pretty dire, I got hired by a company that sends out CVs to other companieshow that works and where the money comes from I have no clue
>>224484192no. I make $85K/yr but a lot of that goes to rent and taxes, if I switch up now I'll have to move to a shittier place or start over from 0 in a cheaper state
>>224484090You wouldn't have a job without them, they're the ones making/fixing the mri
Shit but he will still let hundred of thousands of foreigners (most have 0 qualifications)
>>224484403That's fucking loads, you'd be well off here on that. Mechanics probably make about $43,000 here.
>>224484476Come on Pierre, we both know that nigs are imported to pick up trashbags, dig through the road or other jobs that we refuse to do
>>224484545we have already tons of migrants who don't work THOUGH
>>224484090Mainly things related to radiation and imaging. For radiation therapy it's things like dose calculation, since it's not as simple as blanket someone in radiation, but trying to isolate the necessary tissue as best as possible in order to minimize total dose to reduce side effects and not kill the patient. Also can be involved in nuclear medicine.Imaging side of things includes MRI, CT, x-ray, ultrasound. This is mainly about testing, QA and such. I was shortly involved with this stuff in university.Dosimetry and radiation protection is also a big one. I don't know how it is in the US, but a master's here in medical physics is kind of useless because you're required by law to have a doctorate (or licentiate) degree to be a certified hospital physicist which is the most common career option for a medical physicist.
>>224484582We need more trashbags then
can get a new contract every week if I wanted to apply for around 70 every weekend as a PLC and Industrial robots monkey
>>224483972I could save her...
>>224484403>no. I make $85K/yrso a wage better than 90% of the uk and europe and he still complains
>>224483972>WomenAnd take up a professional position that could be better filled by a genuinely competent man? I think not. Careerwise she's exactly where she should be...the issue is she's not popping out the next generation of (male) scientists.
>>224487041if I made $43,000 in a "shitty" city anywhere in western europe my life would still be much better, not even joking
>>224483972>cleaner with a masters degreePeople call certain work adult daycare but I feel like that starts at university for some
>>224487993how
>>224483972The job marked in Norway is pretty good. We need more people in all job fields, especially nurses. I read an article about a bus company in Bergen that need 150 new drivers. They are so desperate that they will pay driver licence for those who want to be bus drivers. They want especially females to take contact: here is their YouTube campain https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nDp-hEVPbkEhttps://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9erIvq86CXs
>>224488377>a bad accident wont deplete half of my savings>better workers rights>less violent crime>healthier food with less contamination>dont need to drive everywhere, which also saves money on fuel>people are not as stupid or obese>way more places of interest nearby, in any direction>better infrastructure and public servicesMany Americans don't complain not because they like it, but because its all they know. Once you're aware of the state of this place, it eats at you slowly.I think the trade is worth it. and I could still afford an A/C machine for the summers they say are so terrible.a germ on here named cities that were considered terrible and I've been to a few of them, I would prefer to live in Mannheim right now if I could
>>224484090kek baltoids are literally apes without the Soviets to civilize them
>>224489238>I would prefer to live in Mannheim right now if I couldFucking rub it in why don't ya >t. Mannheimer
>>224489272What the hell makes them Baltic? Why can't they just be Easter Europeans/Slavs like the rest. It adds nothing and makes no sense
>>224484152>the pay is decent but I have zero passion for this backbreaking work and I kinda want to go to college for some sort of engineering or biology degreeI was working in trades for just shy under 10 years and recently quit. I have zero passion for this shit too and now that I quit I’m seriously questioning the same thing as you. All the people I know who are far more educated than me make far less. I’m at a point where I would rather have a lower wage with less stress than high wage and constant extreme stress. It feels like a blessing to not be in trades after so long being in this shitshow.
>>224490612That's like asking what makes Irish and Welsh people Celtic and why they can't just be Western Europeans/Romance-Germanics.
>>224483972Wtf is medical physics?
what the fuck is medical physics i have a physics degree
>>224490612>Why can't they just be Easter Europeans/Slavs like the rest.they are eastern europeans but not slavs. their languages are not slavic. estonian is a uralic language just like finnish. lithuanian and latvian belong to the baltic group which is not slavic.all slavic languages are much closer to each other than to baltic languages.
>>224484152>>224492074My brothers. Also in the trades and have thought a lot about quitting and studying instead but I don't know what I would even study that wouldn't just end with me in debt and a meme-degree. Stem obviously but Im probably too big of a dumbass anyways for stem and since I live in a country where the wages aren't drastically varied then I don't know if I should even bother. I guess maybe just for a easier job
>>224483972
the job market is beyond terrible for everyone especially new grads there are many companies who just said there are 0 jobs for graduates this summer
>>224492303>I don't know what I would even study that wouldn't just end with me in debt and a meme-degreeI can relate. I feel like it’s good to learn a meme degree that you’re passionate about if you have the money. It’s good for the spirit, but probably a bad decision monetary wise. I just wanna be out of this shit, but trades are some of the only ways to get quick money in my country unfortunately.
>>224492408> I feel like it’s good to learn a meme degree that you’re passionate about if you have the money. It’s good for the spirit, but probably a bad decision monetary wise.Yes. Yes it is. Stick with your STEM degree and don't end up like me.
>>224492380Wow, men are so lazy and choose to play video games instead of working. Thankfully the AI girlboss economy is going to be great.
>>224492380https://www.bls.gov/opub/ted/2026/higher-share-of-employed-women-than-men-held-a-bachelors-degree-or-higher-in-2025.htmhttps://unusualwhales.com/news/women-more-payroll-jobs-than-men-us-2026Genuinely a nightmare time to be a male in the workforce right now. I think this is mainly being pushed by HR departments (which are mainly staffed by women) preferring to hire other women because men are scary.
>>224483972latest news (a day ago) said hiring for august was better than expected, which doesn't mean a lot because the bar is low
>>224483972I am overpaid and only do hard work maybe like 12 hours a week. The rest is just sitting and consulting. I am also going to get promoted to $38 an hour soon and thats not even counting the benefits and bonuses. Feels good being a heavy robotics tradie.
>>224489238U.S. pay with a cheap living situation and work you can walk to is actually crazy. People at my company make like 70-100k/y and half don't save anything because they have to piss so much away on things. Plus taxes. I've been walking to work for 4 years and I have almost 200k in savings and assets just from that.
>>224492945Being a tech tradie is nuts. We had a commissioner just move to a different company (basically doing data center eq install now) and he's going to be making over $100/h with a hefty per diem. Often less viable if you're not willing to travel and periodically work silly hours, though.
>>224483972it was shit until i got a good offer three months ago and now its good (for me)
>>224483972I work like 3 hours a day and I have like 3 median salaries, it's fine
>>224492945>>224493015I like traveling for work and the per diem bit. They always put us in decent hotels. We get $150 on top of time and a half when we are deployed to a different geo. I basically just maintain and advise operation of heavy duty industrial robots, focusing on their sensors. I'm getting a $3 promo to $38 after I hit 9 months of work and at 12 months they want me as a deployment site supervisor which comes out to like $65 an hour. Legit better off than everyone else my age I know except for one who's runs to auto shops and another who's a cringe e-girl instagram influencer but I think I make more than her now with my bonuses.
it has been bad since 2022 or so
>>224493210There's never been a better time to get a high paying job (if you're a woman).
>>224493233Nobody would pay you more for merely having tits you retarded incel. Even in the most retarded globohomo "Shekelberg Incorporated" they could pay you like a few % less because of some quota but if you have at least some valuable skills that wouldn't be the case because you could actually leave and the company would lose
>>224493261I never said you get paid more. You need tits to get a job at all.
I've completely given up on getting a job. I just don't apply anymore.
>>224493233No, not really. Woke hit it's peak a while ago. Companies aren't going full chud but they're not blindly inclusive for the sake of it much these days. A lot of companies are also replacing a lot of female dominated roles with AI now too.
>>224483972I studied criminology and work at a prison
>>224493285a lot of my dispatcher coworkers have criminal justice degreesmine is in CS I just really needed a decent-paying job LOL
>>224493015Through a trade show I met one of the only guys in Mexico who can operate a EUV lithography system. They literally just fly him out to random plants for him to just work a few shifts and train people. Dudes making like a half a million a year in fucking Mexico where homes are like $50k.
>>224493267>You need tits to get a job at all.In which industry? HR roasties? Don't worry they are not hired to the left and right, in fact they are laid off quite often. You got to have some prior experience before applying and you got to compete against thousands of other roasties.
>>22448923885k/y is insane especially with low taxes in the US. you go with about 60k net, which you can save and invest to your liking. Just live smart and dont spend much on stupid shit and you can retire in your 50ies, which is impossible in socialist germany for example. i work in hospitality and i get 43k/y net, which is very good here for something with no degree, but i work at nights and weekends always and have no social life.
just can't imagine wageslaving for some kike, it's just not for me
>>224493317In all industries. In August of 2026, 90% of all new jobs went to women.HR likes women because they're friendly. That's it. They interview well, men don't get jobs.
>>224493316I once had a guest lecturer in university who used to be one of the only people in the world who fully understood a certain type of cutting edge system because he helped invent it. The guy said he could pretty much set his own pay for a couple of years until there were more experts familiar with the system, because even getting his services at 1000/hr was still more cost effective than trying to have a bunch of other people figure it out without him.
>>224493589That's pretty awesome. I'm trying to do something like that with my career path. My employer allows us sandbox access to code on our machines and we can put in custom lines to make unique flows and processes. Im at a point where im faster than most others and they can't figure out my sequences even when i explain them.
>>224484090Lmao Baltic Bvll trvth >>224484152>I kinda want to go to college for some sort of engineering or biology degreeMany such cases. Can you stupid online losers stop flooding to STEM. You’re one of the many reasons why this field is flooded with fucking jeets, Araps and other thirdie sorts up the wazoo when you can’t stop mentioning it. Making it easy for the corpos to justify outsourcing to them by the numbers like they’ve been doing
>>224494064supply and demandcope and seethe
Always fun to see some foid that thought she was gonna get some girlboss fake office job get slapped in the face by reality. She's gonna have to work until the day she dies or kills herself, just like a man. The days of double-dipping on both female and male privilege are over.
>>224483972If you have a hispanic woman interviewing you it's fucking over. Unfortunately they're so prevalent it takes about 250 applications and about 2~3 months to find a minimum wage job.
>>224483972>woman >physics degree>masters>seemingly born americanliteral DEI clown
>>224483972Pretty good, I got the job that I wanted
>>224483972I have a masters degree in physics and work as an Amazon delivery goy
>>224483972Just try to find an easy job, let the other smart goys do the hard work.
>>224492257No it's not, don't be silly >>224492292Ok, I didn't think about Estonia, they are totally different. Lithuanians are pretty much polish though. So it's about language?
>>224483972I thought i was going to be fired for poor performance a few days ago and it turns out i'm being promoted out sales and into management.
>>224483972This makes me feel good for not trying
>>224492273>>224492270It tells you what happens if you drop your baby on its head
