could you survive one winter in finland?
>>224486934lol it just looks boring. yes easilyunless you're in Lapland most Finnish winters are going too be yawn inducing-2 -3 Celsius, slush and grey skies yeah
>>224486934How do arab immigrants survive that
>>224486934I dunno man, I've experienced a bit of winter in Germany and I was already frozen to the bone there, couldn't even feel my face, let alone in Finland that is even farther into the north.
>>224486934is it actually snow or rain and mud like here?
>>224487299depends on where in Finland. Helsinki and the South is like Scandinavia, a lot of slush and weird molten stuffLapland in the North is like Northern Sweden and Norway, they get certain weeks of harsh Siberian winters with -20°C - -30°C degrees frost
>>224487421>a lot of slush and weird molten stuffThat is manageable but would remind me of the shitty winters we have here
>>224487201by chimping out
>>224486934Looks super comfy. I wish Ireland had snow
>>224487978>>224487299honestly kinda sad europe doesn’t get snow anymore
>>224486934wyoming has worse weather and I have to drive everywhere in my beat up jeep every time I leave my shitty duplex for anything. In Finland, the supermarket could be right underneath my cozy apartment building with high-speed internet, in a dense neighborhood, and you're asking about survival??
>>224488123>jeep>duplexhello transplant
>>224488050>honestly kinda sad europe doesn’t get snow anymoreits nothing new even the past it was like a week or two of snow and then for the rest of winter only mud remained
i'm from michigan so probably.
>>224488167not really, I just like the older cherokees
>>224488123depends on where in Finland, Northern Finland is actually harsh like Canadian NorthRovaniemi comparable to Grande Prairie, Northern AlbertaRest of Nordics is like Toronto, like 90% live in this climatebut actual Northern Nordics is no joke
>>224486934Notingburger
>>224488123>wyoming has worse weather It's sunny and dry.
>>224486934No.
>>224486934no im black so my winter psychosis due to lack of vitamin d would set in and result in a brutal blackening of finnish wombs
>>224486934I already live in the north so yes. I look forward to long nights and short days.
>>224489864lmao you always mention this the moment you have a chanceyou used to make constant threads on this
>>224490329Yes. Kinda pointless being here without posting and what I have to post is quite limited. If it bothers you then just ignore it.
>>224486934It would be easy. I experienced winters of -25, it's nothing terrible. Real Russian winters of -40 or -50 would be an extreme problem.
>>224488285Genuinely hilarious that you think Copenhagen and Toronto are comparable winters. Euros are out of control.
>>224486934ive been in that exact spot and it was winter
>>224490559>I experienced winters of -25, it's nothing terrible. Real Russian winters of -40 or -50 would be an extreme problemOnly difference between -25 and -40 is that in temperature below -30 snots start freezing right in your nose. Aside from that nothing special even clothes are remain the same
>>224486934Depends on how windy it is. No wind and -12 C is T-shirt weather. Even the slightest breeze would turn me into an ice cube though.
>>224486934god no i'd slip and fall 10 times just walking on that pavement by the supermarket
>>224489864how exactly do the cold and the darkness appeal to you? just curious
>>224486934No. My city’s climate is similar to Kyiv and I can’t stand winters.
>>224486934Well most of Canada is colder, warmer, and snowier than Finland but not by a big margin so yeah it would be very comfy (except for slush that shit is rage-inducing)
>>224486934mid winters
>>224486934Yeah. January in Finland is like November here.
>>224486934I would love to live anywhere in the Nordics, even Finland. I really enjoy Finnish music. I even considered Estonia but it wasn't easy to move there either.
>>224492707the sun hurts my eyes and it's hard to sleep. you do understand in finland the sun shines for 22 hours a day while in brazil it sets at 7:30 pm?
>>224489864vghhh I would give anything to live in a place like this>>224492707it's extremely comfy
>>224487201the love of Allah keeps them warm
>>224492707I love the harshness, the sense of necessity to get things right to live, to carve out little habitats of safety and coziness. In the best case you have something important to do there that requires and justifies your presence. Otherwise at least it keeps the majority of people away while you exist in this hideaway with kinda similar folks.
