Why don't you live in New York, the most international city?
I am poor
its in americaits hugecrowdedand probably very expensive
>>224487276i dont have a degree that would grant me a job position that pays enough to live there
>>224487276im white so im not allowed
>>224487276When I was a kid I used to think NY was the capital of American.
>>224487276What kind of jobs do people living there have? Are there any normal average people left?
to me new york is like london. only the rich and the poor living in subsidised housing can afford to live there and i'm neither
>>224487498New York actually is the capital of the United States, but they say it isn't so that unitedstatesian don't revolt
>>224487329plenty of poor people live in nyc
Why would you ever consider living in such urban hellscape? Give me a mountain redneck town with no neighbors in 30 mile radius.
east coast work culture is cancerous
>>224487276Ay, lemme get a bagel on a pizza
>>224487276I would snap from the noise and smell and convert to Islam just to rape NYC literally instead of just materially
>>224490285>noise and smellit's not the 70s anymore, gramps.
>>224488077its hard as fuck to get settled in, not to mention finding a job
>>224487276>Rent is $4.1k a month in average You need to make at least $200K a year after taxes just to live there
>>224487825Most of the upper class lives in only Manhattan or really wealthy suburbs. There’s four other boroughs that don’t get shown in movies.
>>224487876that actor timothy faggolut grew up in a rent controlled apartment in manhattan
>>224492337I'd say staten island is the least shownwith >manhattan in first>then brooklyn>bronx>queens> finally staten island
>>224492271just get roommates.
>>224492443There’s no reason to show it because Staten Island’s vibe (cops, conservative, Italian) is better captured in North Jersey or Long Island. It’s also the only borough I haven’t been to.
>>224487276I wouldn't want to live in a big city I wasn't born in. The fun wears off quick and it takes a lot of work to build a life there and it's very expensive to do it. I've got no family or friends in New York either.
>>224487276i'm not that /int/ernational. i need to lurk more
>>224487276the work culture there is probably horrible and there are no jobs i can get to help me afford living there with the credentials i have
>>224487276I'm scared of ICE.
>>224487276NYC is based but I'm neither rich nor American so I can't live there just yet. My best bet is to find a rich New Yorker heiress and marry my way into some kind of brownstone in uptown and a comfy job at a French library or cultural center. Chicks in NYC are incredibly hot and easy to talk to, very fit and very enthusiastic when they meet you. Nightlife is great especially in Brooklyn (avoid the zoomer Chelsea spots and the touristy and richfag midtown joints). The place I lived the most in my adult life was probably New York. Thanks America.
Live your myth in Hastings-on-Hudson
>>224487276because it smells like a piss filled dumpster, the people are all retarded faggots and its nothing buy noise pollution 24 hours a day
>>224489724>Why would you ever consider living in such urban hellscape?Once you get used to it, it's hard to adjust. I live in London and everything is within a 15 minute walk from my house: dozens of shops, hospital, pharmacy, park, barber's, etc. Not to mention that I can just order stuff online and it arrives at my house later in the day. When I went to stay with my sister for a week in some tiny ass village (population of less than 8k), it was strange and uncomfortable not having immediate access to so much stuff. I had to plan when I went shopping and things like that.
>it was strange and uncomfortable not having immediate access to so much stuff
>>224493303Comfy AND connected by transit?Sign me up!
>>224492173oh really?so I couldn't met people like this irl ?
>>224487276I'm too poor
It's way too expensive to still be dominated by cars outside of Manhattan. I'd rather live in a mid-tier Northwestern European city with half the cost of living
>>224493473>this quaint comfy crime-free village?>nooooooooooo where is the instant uberjeets agghhhh where the is goyslop to consoooooomholy grim
>>224487276I don't want to play vermintide irl
>>224493473I’m kinda here, I bought in rural nsw but I rented it out and now I’m living in sydney with a lot of interesting shit around me, I guess if I ever start a family I’d move out there (if I can get a job that pays) because country living is top tier but living in da big city is so comfy
>be me>intern at the UN over the summers of 1999 and 2000>manhattan is overwhelmingly white>brooklyn rent is less than what i pay in milwaukee today (inflation adjusted)>streets in much of the city are actually safe for women to walk alone>clubs and concerts all weekend long>great food everywhere>banging this cute paisana one summer (pic related; on the left)>bang this busty jewess the next>and some other chicks on the side, including an american apparel modelLife used to be good. I hate what NYC became after Bloomberg left office.
>>224494283You're far more likely to encounter goyslop in a village though. City supermarkets are full of fresh produce that just doesn't exist in the countryside. Village stores are full of slop that's been sitting on the shelves for 5 years.
>>224487276i already live in São Paulo which is a safer version of NYC
>>224494501Thats what brasilians think. Comparing any city to the big apple is just cope
>>224487276i feel alone in large urban areas and rural areas. suburbs are aesthetically soulless but some of them are alright.the perfect population is large enough so that you dont recognize random people but small enough that you can have a meaningful participation in your community
>>224494469Seeing brown people is peak goyslop
>>224487276NYC can be very fun if you are good at socializing, but you legit need to make at least $70000 to live basic and $100k+ to live without roommates.
>>224490119I found the opposite. In NYC I get six weeks PTO + every holiday off. In California I got four weeks + only eight holidays off. Same industry too. I come late to my NYC job and leave early and take extra time at lunch and they never give a shit as long as things get done.
>>224487276Too much of a middle class-upper class city for me.
>>224487276Hong Kong for babies
>>224487276I used to want to when I was obsessed with Spider-Man in high school. Now, not so much.
>>224494382Hey, that's my mom right there unc
