the way spain is set up is so hecking totally based. every european country should consist of autonomous regions with their own identity, laws, flag even language and culture yet are united by their hatred of the capital region.
>>224489834>capital region happens to be where most of the wealth is generated and bankrolls all the flyoversfeels good being a capital Chad. provincials seethe and cope.
lolthe only reason why Madrid isn't part of New Castile (Castilla La Mancha) is because the ungabunga representatives of Ciudad Real and Albacete were angry at the idea of getting less gibs
I'm sorry you have to see this. Spain stands with the Kalmar Union and the House of Vasa.
>>224489884(Mind you, Ciudad Real and Albacete are from the southern part of CLM so they just acted like the good andaluces they are)Guadalajara almost left Castilla La Mancha over it
>>224489834>yet are united by their hatred of the capital regionlol is this true?
>>224489834Interesting. I thought Spain is a unitary country. Based on wikipedia, the system is similar to our Federation of Malaysia. Heck, we go even one further. Our Bornean Sabah and Sarawak states control their own immigration, meaning West Malaysians need a visa to visit or work there.
>>224492705Spain, conceptually and practically, is broken by like five or six different ethnicity that all hate each other. This system was successfully exported to the new world, including the USA, through spain's rancho colonies. It is fundamentally broken and cannot ever be fix.
>>224489834only the northern belt is spanish, the rest are conquered brownberians, including all of poortugal
>>224492705>I thought Spain is a unitary countryi think it is by constitution but they just devolved powers to regions making them "quasi federal but not really"
>>224493320>let me tell you which parts of your country are whiteAnglo moment>>224492804This is true. Not only there are different ethnicities but many have their own language, which has always been an additional barrier to a full unification of Spain as one people. There's a long history of the central government trying to erase and undermine regional languages in favor of Castilian Spanish, and the regions putting up a fierce resistance to these assimilation efforts.Countries like France were completely ruthless when it comes to eradicating linguistic differences and reaped the rewards of that much early on. We never fully got around to doing that or there was no political will to do it, and we've paid the price for a long time.
