What happens here? Would you live here? What makes it different from the rest of cities in America?
>this 1 bedroom house will be 2.5 million dollars plus tipThat's what happens there
suburbia
>>224491468Is it due to the tech companies there?
>>224491719the whole state is like thatit is a modern feudal statethe lords are the tech and venture capitalists, the serfs are the millions of illegal aliensit'll be really funny to see what happens as more and more people leave
>>224491436lived there for a couple years ~2015, up by the border with milpitas. the homeless situation was already bad but i hear covid made it orders of magnitude worse
>>224491436>what happens therenothing, I'd bet.>would you live thereAbsolutely not.>what makes it different...?It's in a state that is single-handedly the world's sixth largest economy if it were to be its own country.
>>224491719Yes. If you don't make $200,000 you straight up should not try to live there
>>224492073200k USD a year. Do you know how much that is per year? That's less than what our President makes in a year.
>>224492171Congrats, your president could afford a studio apartment in San jose
>>224491436It’s more populous than San Francisco and the 10th most populous in America but isn’t known for anything cultural of note. Very safe, very expensive, very educated, but very boring from what I hear
>>224491436it is a sterile LA but with less blacks. it is overpoliced and insanely expensive. id rather be in NYC or Seattle with those rent prices as there is more interesting people to meet. you can tell the federal government is pouring tax money to build it up in a last ditch effort to beat China at anything. >>224491859>Milpitasyou are probably human garbage from Alameda County. you brought the homelessness with you. most of santa clara county doesn't have a homeless problem because it is overpoliced. i hope you found where you belong
>>224492202How much for a mansion in San Jose?
>>224491878That's a lot of concrete.
>>224491859Will you ever go back?
>>224491436I go to the Westfield mall down there sometimes. They have valet. And to watch soccer occasionally at PayPal parkAnd to answer you it’s expensive but feels like any other American city that isn’t very old. You might as well live in Huston or Dallas
>>224491436My grandparents lived there till they died about 10 years ago. My grandpa would have really cool stories about watching the whole area just explode as silicon valley became a "thing". And yes, his completely normal house in a quiet neighborhood sold for almost $3 million when they died. He and his wife died crazy rich despite him just being a carpenter in the area. I think he had a great pension set up with a union or some shit, he'd get fat checks well into retirement. The company he worked for was always getting contracted to build all the offices/labs that tech companies were making so it makes sense.San Jose itself is oddly boring for how expensive it is. It's just endless quiet neighborhoods with shit traffic on the highways between. The downtown area is incredibly boring and lacks any sort of character. It's really strange because Santa Cruz and SF are right there next to it with lots more character, but somehow SJ never developed an identity. Hell even Oakland is more interesting even though its vibe has always been gangbangers.
