There's a reason why these places stay abandoned. Nobody is going to pay $5,000 for the legal mandate to pay $40,000 plus whatever taxes the city government discovers wasn't paid.At this point cities like Detroit just have crews demolish them and consolidate the lots into bigger lots so they can write off the taxes as a loss or sell the tax bill to a larger, newer developer that will pay.
