My home state of Oklahoma has a small town called Prague (pronounced Prayg) because it was founded by Czech immigrants. It had a Czech-language newspaper called Oklahomski Noviny.

Does your country have lesser known histories of immigration?

without looking it up, i bet they just converted the old city hall building into a police department, and the actual city hall is somewhere else. notice how all the signage (excluding the engraved text) only mentions the police.
