And by your own thinking you would marginalise your own speech as improper because your don't speak Southern Standard British or American. It's an unsound position if you don't advocate for uniform speech across the whole language. Australia has no weight to say our standard is valid. English is already highly uniform such that these small deviations don't require intervention to ensure we don't deviate into intelligibility- lack of a common language is a serious practical problem in many countries even though they supposedly speak the same language (they don't), so a standard is not bad at all. But since there is no communication impeded, you are just being pedantic and soulless.
