And still they claim to suffer...
>>224522547Right after he sens people to mars, right? Lmao
>>224522547Saar i just bought blaady 20 cybercab get rich fuck bitches
>>224522547He’s said this since like 2014 lol. Imagine waking up in the morning to go to work only to find basketball people sleeping in intake having trashed it. In reality, Tesla has lost on the self driving front. Even Chinese cars do that shit better these days. I don’t know how you manage to fumble a huge technological lead like that.
>>224522777Are EVs any better at performing in cold conditions? I'm assuming you know a thing or two about this.
>>224522808They all kinda suck desu. It’s not as bad as it were for previous generations of EVs and Teslas are quite good, gotta give them that. but ultimately you can’t win over physics.
>>224522870I fucking knew it, glad we banned most of them.
>>224522808>I'm assuming you know a thing or two about this.Scandinavia doesn't get cold.
>>224522547The perfect car for suburbia. The only reason why I hate suburb is the driving but if AI can do that I would rather live in a suburb than a city
>>224522808they loose some battery range but thats it. never heard anyone say>i miss my old gas/diesel car on these cold winter daysits rather the other way
>>224522808They work perfectly in the cold. Nothing better in a -28°C weather than to push a button on your phone 3mins before going to the car to find it at +22°C inside with all the windows melted of ice.The only problem is the range dropping. When the temperature is really low like less than -20°C it can drop almost up to 50%. Does not matter on short trips but any longer ones you are going to have to charge more often.
>He sleeps instead of renting out his only appartment as an AirBNB while methmaxxing Uber deliveriesngtmi, enjoy permanent underclass, the grind never stops
>>224522547I hope China nukes them
>>224522547why not just use them as a fleet service and compete with waymo and uber?
>>224523901This is why you're not a trillionaire like Elon.
>>224523901If the fleet is spread across a bunch of different houses dispatch is way faster and easier, is probably the thought
>>224523955for that to work every county must have a certain threshold of cyber cab owners. I think he'll just sell them in bulk to uber and lyft and airports who'll use them to get rid of their human drivers saving them millions in wages
>>224524006I don't think the cameras-only approach is working, I think waymo may just win especially considering google ai is at least as good as muskco's
>>224524042I don't understand his autism about refusing to use Lidar sensors
>>224524147It’s called doubling down. It’s pretty obvious that he over estimated the technical capabilities and was wrong at this point but you can never go back and admit fault, then the board will mercilessly fire you. Always shift the blame to someone else.
>>224524181Well go look at that other thread, new gpt can make a 3d model from a still image, veryy interesting huh, but google would still seem to have more data sources and better ai models
>>224524222It’s not the same problem at all. One is using statistical models to generate likely 3D layouts. the reason cameras are bad are because they are limited, the get blinded by fog and dirt and rain and sunlight, etc. I mean look at it this way, Elon’s argument for self driving is that humans are flawed and badly evolved to drive, then he turns around and says that the human way of perceiving the world (i.e. cameras as «eyes») are good enough for humans so therefore it should be for machines as well. The argument isn’t even internally logically consistent.
>>224522547>Claim to suffer>ClaimDoes anyone in the savage lands of Not-America still exist? Yes? Then we suffer. Having to share the planet with the rest of you has been the most harrowing experience for every American.
>>224524222An AI trained on point cloud data from millions of miles of lidar data in addition to camera footage will be several times more less prone to error than the one trained just on image recognition. Flights, spacecrafts, ships, drones all use sensor fusion for their navigation, why shouldn't cars?
>>224524522Zamn I should really proofread what I post
>>224524522Bc itf ugly Ig idk I already said seems like waymo just wins
>>224522895>OH YEAH I LIVE IN ALASKA I'M SO COLD BRO *never steps outside during winter*
>>224522547>wake up after my shiny brand new cyberfleet made me money in my sleep >go to check car>someone vomitted in the back seat>and front>and there’s a big “Elon is a Nazi” graffitied on the side>tfw
>>224523708Just have a subtenant or three. Work in the night shift while someone sleeps in your bed. You come home, bed is already warm and it's fully utilized. Win-win
>>224522777Yrah, autonymous robot taxis make sense only in upper middleclass environment because there's nobody stopping them if some retards just want to trash the vehicle for no good reason.
>bro your car will drive itself and play crazy taxilol wat
