It doesn't mean that Poland gets less tourism than Russia necessarily. Poland's economy is certainly more advanced and diversified than Russia's.

No way Germany is actually higher than France is there? Paris is the most visited city in the world
>>
>>224604479
It's tourism as a % of GDP. So it doesn't necessarily mean that Germany gets more tourism than France. It just means tourism is a bigger part of Frances economy proportionally. France's whole shitty economy is basically selling luxury goods to new money Chinese.

I will take old soviet train to Moldova next month. tourism isn't just laying by the pool all day
>>
>>224610966
>tourism isn't just laying by the pool all day
I fully agree anon. I never got the appeal of beaches or being packed like sardines among other tourists. I asked because sadly tourism has become laying by the pool all day. Much of my compatriots go down to Spain or France to tan and that's their summer vacation.
I'd also genuinely appreciate if you elaborated on what you're going to be visiting. That sounds much more interesting than OP.

I will spend some time in the old towns of Transylvania, then go to Moldova and watch some brutalist architecture and apparently they are known for their wineries too. Then a day trip to Transnistria, a little remnant of the Soviet Union. Originally my flight home was through Istanbul, but they moved it to Antalya so my layover will be spent on the beach eating kofta instead.

I went to Dublin earlier this summer and it was okay but I think I'd enjoy it more out west in Galway or Killarney

Transylvania is worth it, such a contrast with the rest of the region. Transnistria must be interesting, but I wonder how the borders work there.
>Dublin
It's the nation's capital. Many people and some of the only pieces of high culture in the museums there. But that's not that impressive in Ireland. For the folk culture you have to go west. I may be biased but Cork is pretty nice. Galway has a lot more Irish music, but it feels a bit like an open air museum. Killarney is nice.

Tourism is completely insignificant to the South Korea's economy. In fact, the reality of 20 million tourists visiting a country as small as South Korea is what is truly strange. Furthermore, a significant number of Asian tourists visiting this country become illegal immigrants and take up unauthorized employment on farms or in factories.
