>>224697765I know nothing about German as a language but from what I heard, Swiss German is pretty incomprehensible and almost a different language. Is this true?>Southern AmericanYou're joking. It sounds awful down here, even worse than how people from Boston sound.
>>224696782Riograndenser Hanhüsky
>>224696782Austrian dialects are the funniest as they have this comedic snobbish, effeminate touch. The Saxon dialect is funny too but in a hillbilly kind of way.
>>224697833I'd say Swiss is still comprehensible to Southern Germans but Germans in the North will have difficulty understanding it. Here is a map of the dialects. It might be a bad map and someone might have a better map but this one will do.People obviously will have a better time understanding the closer they are so Swiss and Swabian might understand each other better than Swiss and Saxon. I've also heard however that among Swiss people they have difficulties understanding each other if the other person is from across the mountain which isolated them long enough to change the language.I like the way the Southern accent sounds, it's funny and endearing but in a good way.
>>224696782I really like cajun french. There's a part of ontario with an accent that kinda sounds like it but it's most of the way to being extinct now.
>>224696782Saxon, those niggas sound funny >>224697833It's not a different language, their grammar is 99% the same, but half their nouns are some retarded toddlerspeak, and their pronunciation is worse than netherlands-dutch
