Why was the Taj Mahal alone preserved when the rest of Indian monuments basically fell into a state of disrepair and utter destruction?
India has thousands of magnificent ancient Hindu temples though
I mean there are still ton of Indian monuments in a good state, plus Taj Mahal is kinda recent monument not even 400 years old while others monuments are older, although still better than China or Japan that basically have new monuments and advertise them as "ancient"
